Is it me or does this drama lose some of its luster after the death of Goongyae and his cronies ?. We are now at the fall of Shilla and most the the screen time for the last 20 or so episodes is dominated by Kyun Hwan and his court . By contrast Guhn has become a boring character ,only Choi Ung is the most interesting on the Koryo side ,maybe just a slight blip though.

Yes i figured we have about another 25 episodes to go , We are at the point where Wang Guhn beats kyung Hwun again and Prince Shin guhm rebels against his father Kyung and drives him out of Baekje . Its frustrating because Ep nos are not listed . Must say its been hard to watch this with KBS starting it early ,or late or pre- empting it ,not to mention blackouts ,but its been worth it .

What will happen is Shilla will surrender power to Goryeo . Shin Guhm will rebel killing his youngest brother Geum Kang and driving his father out of the Kingdom ,kyung Hwon escapes but flee's to Goryeo and asks Wang Guhn for help which he does soundly beating Shin Guhm when WG spares SG's life KH dies of a broken heart and the drama ends with WG uniting the 3 Kingdom's . This is from the actual History i have not seen it yet . And the next drama that came Dawn Of The Empire opens with WG's death ,this drama retains many of the characters from WG like Park Sulhee but played by different actors ,its also more of a political drama as opposed to EWG.
I must say they are really dragging the Shin Guhm rebellion out so far this week we have had 4 episodes of Shin guhm sobbing and snarling in his wine cups ,goryeo have been reduced to guest stars and its just endless angry Shin Guhm and Kyun Hwon complaining about his carbuncles .
Although this is a "legendary drama 'and i am very happy to have seen it ,i think its somewhat over rated , many of the plot lines are dragged out way too much . there is some really hokey acting Lee deok Wha being the biggest offender . Than we have the plastic swords ,helmets rubber armour that is so obvious . On the plus side . Great cast (cept Deok Wha ),lots of great storylines and plots . Really interesting characters probably the most varied i have ever seen in a K Drama . Really Great Epic Battle Scenes . Best musical score for a K Historical period .

In Age of Warriors he was Lee Ui Min, www.koreanwiz.org/at/drama-mooin.html but I don't see him listed in EWG. I saw it a long time ago and don't remember much beyond the ruler who lost an eye and then his mind, and Wang Guhn's improvements to civil service. Actually, I'm confused about my memory of seeing the eye-patch guy in the drama, then seeing the commercial for the upcoming show Wang Gun, unless I'm just generally confused. Do they ever run these historical dramas as a mashup without a break? wiki.d-addicts.com/Emperor_Wang_GunI like Lee Duk Hwa, even though he can be a ham. He's so cute! In Age of Warriors, I thought it was unfair that he was called the Archfiend, when he acted to help the country.

Don't recall him in Wang Guhn, either: Checked his Bio and there is no listing. There is now a Japanese version-only $1300.99, but it does come in a box.

The JP Version has different and superior opening credit's and some scenes were shot just for that market and are more graphic in the violence dept.. On Deok Hwa i also found no listing for him in this and "oh no "i could have made another blunder but if the actor who plays Baekje General Yasuel is not LDW than LDW should sue for borrowing his looks and persona . BTW 5 more eps to go ,end's on 24th .
I Would also add this is the most accurate Saguek i have ever seen .

Thou I though Shin Guhm always got carried away in the moment and never listen to sound advice, he was unfairly treated by his father. No sorrow for him, the succession should of taken place according to the law but his father favored one child over his many he deserved to be treated that way by his sons, she showed them no love just berated them. As the saying goes like father like son, KH did the same thing his father did to him, he became egotistical and arrogant, his dying of a broken heart over his favorite son Geum Kang, well they will meet together in haydees.

This is strange Gen Yasuel does not appear until after the first 100 plus episodes so he is not listed in the cast of characters ,but while this was made LDW was in Ladies In The Palace so i have no idea who the actor is but he looks and acts like LDW.

Thou I wanted the Emperopr of Bekje to choose his first son, he tends to be a bit of a dunce, slow in decision making and truly gets on my nerve, he is waiting for his father approval wel he can wait until WG comes and take the throne, his poor Mum I feel sorry for, she is now questioning why she assisted her son to get to not ascending the throne.
I did not want the fourth son chosen that was a slap in the face but, come on SG do something.

An Archfiend is an actual Eastern military description (rank?). He is a fighter who uses extreme measures to accomplish his mission. The Archfiend in Age of the Warriors wielded an axe and was commanded to go on 'special missions". Archfiend is not a derogatory term.
