KBS World is rebroadcasting EWG starting Mon /Tues Morning and re-mastered as well actually the recent broadcast of EOTS looked really bad ,it looked like a cheap shot on video drama so sometimes re-mastering is not so great .
This was #3 on my Holy Grail of Korean Dramas i missed (1 is AGE OF WARRIORS ,and 2 the un-cut IMMORTAL YI SOON SHIN )and by Holy Grail i mean dramas that could actually be seen unlike classics like 500 YEARS OF JOSEON and TEARS OF THE DRAGON which we will never get to see (boo-hoo!!!!).sadly .

Hi domyoungchan Happened to click in on the Board and ran across your post that Emperor Wang Ghun is back...was really happy to hear that,however where are you watching it...? I am in the Netherland still but will return to Chicago in 2-3 weeks...don't know where I will be able to watch !!! I think I will get CH20.3, because I have the Converter box. I do hope so as this Drama was one I really enjoyed and of course my favorite of all favorite actors is in it - thet MARVELOUS Mr. Choi Su Jong. I think many of the folks posting on this board will also be very happy to once again watch drama's with our favorite Mr. Choi Su Jong It is 8 pm here saturday....have a nice evening Oh,one question? I saw Tears of the Dragon very long ago, actually it was first K-Drama I ever saw and just loved it. In your post you mentioned we won't get to see it -- or did I misread your post. Thanks for the info.at least I can make my addition a bit less painful since ;losing our K-Drama's in Chicago.

Addendum: To domyoungchan, Emperor Wang Ghun is back
Hope I did not confuse you by listing my CH 20.3 in Chicago, I was getting very tired when posting this and forgot you are in San Francisco. Sorry. My Nephew and family live in Oakland... wonder if he ever gets K-Drama's ? I never asked nor know if he would actually enjoy them...
Also please excuse the spelling, as I indicated am really getting sleepy now as I had only 3 hrs sleep last night...

Oh that is a major kick in the gut. #1 on my wish list and Chicago gets stiffed.
I sure hope KBS is happy with that big fee increase, collecting triple times nothing. Idiots.

Emperor Wang Ghun is back Hi ajk. just read your post in regard to KBS fee increase triple times nothing... I keep wanting to understand what it is they are trying to accomplish, by raising the fee so drastically. In these times, where the economy we are in is so difficult and it is the same all over the world now,should they not be happy to promote their Drama's which are loved by so many people none Asian as well as Asians. These drama's I feel also help promote Korea (south that is) and perhaps even bring some sort of Tourist business to Korea, yet they completely IGNORE us and our love for these drama's especially the Historical ones... I wish that they would READ all the posts on these boards - however, I wonder if it would change anything. I tried to call KBS from the Netherlands where I am right now(for few more weeks) but did not get anyone who spoke English and the person that answered almost sounded rude (unless I misunderstood not knowing the language) I was going to post their phone # but had it written on a piece of scratch paper and by accident my 8yr old grandson made a "paper plane" out of the sheet of paper and tossed it oh well, I guess if anyone wants the # it can be looked up on internet Thanks for letting me rant on & on, am just so disappointed losing the Drama's.

Totally agreeing with the "idiot" part. I was talking with a Korean friend this morning and she said SHE's really PO'd at KBC, also--everyone is. They seem to be following the Disney model of only releasing things at specific, limited times and in limited availability. This is b-llsh-t. They're supposed to be like PBS for pity's sake. Jrks.

Bo, I hope you mean 'KBS', not 'KBC'. Chicago has the fourth largest Korean population in the USA - third largest, if you lump Glendale, CA with Los Angeles. See this chart. If you took all the cities in that list that are part of the Greater Los Angeles Region, well, boy! That would be A LOT This other chart shows the Korean poulation by percentage. Pallisades Park, NJ, is over one-third Korean! Remember the old Freddy Cannon song? "Last night, I took a walk after dark / A swingin' place called Pallisades Park." OK, it wasn't the city, but an amusement park. Did you know that song was written by Chuck Barris? Yes, the Game Show Chuck Barris.

Apologies to KBC! As for the rest of your post...if I didn't know you, I'd think you were "wandering." " Population charts and popular songs...what's up with him?" they whispered in the dark corners of the schoolyard...lol... Yeah, I knew that about Chuck Barris. Did you see that movie about him starring Sam Rockwell? It was an amazing portrayal. bo

I was just trying to point out that they're leaving a large market in the lurch. As for the rest . . ."Abandon all hope, ye who follow a chain of links on Wikipeadia" .

200 KBS sells it for $500.00. Each DVD contains one episode. You can chose to purchase the whole set (200), or order only the episodes you like, but I don't remember the price for individual disks. The set does not come in one those nifty book like cases, but each DVD is in a clear plastic case. You need to know the story as there is no additonal reading materials.

I think KBS took the E Store down . Anyway here it airs at 12:10 AM but it can start anytime between Midnight and 12P:40 am as KBS cant seem to keep anything on schedule ,which makes trying to record it quite a task (and im doing it on VHS for now as the DVD recorder is Kaput ,Plus having to hook the VHS player back up i sadly could not find the remote ...so its manual ,its a pain having to do it this way but the series is well worth it ). I will say the print is the very same as the original 2000 print and really after seeing some remastered episodes of EOTS some things are better left as is . What this drama brings to mind is how the Historical Dramas have dropped in quality over the years ,especially the writing . The theme is similar to the AOW theme only better .
Interesting Historical tidbits The Wang Family came out of Goguryeo and moved to Tang than came back to Shilla as part of Jang Bo Go's close associates ,they survived the fall of Chang Hae and set themselves up in Sung Tae as similar to Jang only more prudent such was their rise to power .

If you go to KBSWORLDi, the E store is there. Saw the Wang Guhn and thought "Yea" and then the price made me think "YIKES". Even if it were less expensive, KBS' present actions would prevent me from buying.

I stop purchasing K Dramas, the quality is so poor, they are way to pricey for such bad quality. As a matter of fact I was quite surprise, try getting a refund! It all about the money, so watch out, another thing the packaging is not very pretty its cheap, not like American packaging, your purchase the series to my surprise I got one episode in an ugles plastic pack. "Buyers beware.}
