So what did everybody think? I'm still not sure how I feel. I'm glad that Day didn't die, but I was sad that there was no way to heal him except turning him back to the way he was before. I cried for Eunhye, knowing that she will never be with the man that she loves. I was glad that Eunhye and Day got to spent time together before he had to "go back." It was cute how she kept trying to sleep next to him and he kept pushing her away.
I felt like the end was a bit rushed. I wished they would've shown how the relationship with Dr. Park and his mother was finally mended. At the end of this episode they showed a picture with Dr. Park and his mom, which tells us that they are now talking. And what happened with Dr. Park's mom and Pilgoo? And who was Dr. Park calling at the end of the episode when he said "I will be there?" Why was he on the cover of that Science magazine?
One thing that I loved about this drama, and what Day said was that he tried to find happiness in money, power, but he only found it when Eunhye said "I love you." Alot of people search for these things in search for happiness, without realizing that those things come and go, true joy is never found in money nor power. Minjoo's mother was the perfect example, she had the money, and the power that she so desired, but she was not happy, she was a bitter woman.
Well I am glad that Eunhye got to tell Day exactly how she felt about him. The love between them was just so beautiful and pure, I'm realling going to miss those 2 characters. I am glad that she got her life together and went on to become a teacher. Just shows that no matter where we come from, or what we've been through, we can rise above all that and move forward with our heads up high. I wonder if she will be teaching at the school for handicapped children?

I wonder if she will be teaching at the school for handicapped children? I think Pilgoo and Mrs. Ko get together. She makes his lunch every day and he put his scarf around her neck. Eun-hye is going to teach at Day's school. But who was Dr. Park talking to? His car turned off from the route the bus took. Are we supposed to assume he has a girlfriend somewhere else? On the bus, Eun-hye was doing a puzzle while he was finishing a phone call, I think. Darn, I guess they didn't get together. I didn't notice the science magazine. I guess Yoori and Min-joo got married. Wonder if Mrs. Heo goes to visit?

For me, Mrs Ko and Pilgoo are together, but just like friends... Eunhye started a new life like a teacher for handicapped children, she must be Day's teacher... I liked the end, when Dr Park was in his car, the same way that we saw him in the first ep, like at beginning... And now he loves his mother.
Ginnycat, I agree with you, I'm sure that Eunhye and Dr Park aren't not together, they went to separate ways to their work. Dr Park had a good career in the medecine, like we can see on the cover of the magazine....
I was sad, it's not right, Eunhye found "the man who changed his fate" and she can't be with him.... I'm sad but I'm happy for Eunhye because his life is better in his "old" world.... I'm glad for him too because, at the end, Day knows that his mother never left him, only because she was hit by the car... I LOVE SO MUCH this drama, and my sister bought the dvds set, I rewatched the first ep yesterday, always with the same pleasure.... This drama is really great....

I think this is the finest K-drama I have seen (except Yi Soon Shin, for other reasons). Aside from the premise on which the story was built (an opeation to restore mental capacity), the characters were all real, their relationships with each other were real. I especially liked the way that everyone was changed (for the better, I think) by their interactions with each other. I like to see uplifting stories in which people become better people. Here, a lot of them were carrying around baggage that was weighing them down, and in the end most of them managed to cast it off. Even Mrs. Heo, who was always so cold and calculating and emotionless managed to throw a golf club at the retreating Minjoo and Padlock, and then smiled when she tasted Padlock's food. And Dr. Park really started to appreciate and enjoy his associates only when he shared the food his mother had brought with them.
I think the scene in which Eunhye was on the bus and Dr. Park was in his car and turned off was meant to tell us that they were going their separate ways.
I especially liked the fantasy dance sequence near the end in which all of the cast members were dancing with each other. Dr. Park with his mother. Pilgoo with Mrs. Heo. Padlock and Minjoo, of course. Even Mr. Pyo was dancing with one of his "boys". And several of the doctors were dancing with each other.
All in all, a very satisfying series to watch.

This was a great drama, there hasn't been a drama since "Rebirth" where I couldn't wait till next week to see what's going to happen, the characters in here were all very likeable, even Mrs. Heo, I thought she was cute eating and enjoying the food Padlock made her, it was pretty sad how things turned out for Haru and Eunhye...I was still sort of hoping that she and Dr. Park would've gotten together, but in the end, everyone was happy, and so was I .

There were so many dancers, and I didn't recognize some of them. Maybe some were in the crew?

annaI think chi8 was correct in saying that Dr. Park and Eunhye went their separate ways, symbolically shown by the different paths that the car and bus took. However, I like to feel that as time goes on, and Haru continues in his childlike way, that perhaps Eunhye and Dr. Park could again meet and rekindle their friendship. I missed part of Episode 15. Is this where we find that Day's mother was killed by a bus? I would appreciate if someone could recap episode 15. I agree that this was one of the best dramas I've seen, my first show being Yellow Handkerchief.

I taped the last episode , and I am so glad that I did. The first time that I watched it I was so disappointed with the ending, thinking that Dr. Park was married to another woman and that they could never be together. When I rewatched it I realized that he had been out of the country, and was talking to his mother on the phone. Although Dr. Park and Eunhye were going in different directions, I believe that they have both changed enough so that they now have a chance at love with each other. Remember, they were kept apart because of their inability to show and accept love. Because of Day they bothed changed and now they are ready to accept love, hopefully from each other.

When I rewatched it I realized that he had been out of the country, and was talking to his mother on the phone. But wasn't his mother at Superintendent ?'s house with the rest of the family, and Dr. Park didn't show up when Eunhye arrived. Don't want to shatter any hopes here, but maybe he was talking to somebody at the hospital. Or a new wife. By the way, the camera lingered on his right hand, and it looked as though it was pretty well healed.

I liked all those moment At the cafe, when Eunhye felt asleep, Dr Park "To be honest, it's been hard these past few days. To be really honest, it's still hard for me. I still can't... let you go." His voice-off "But I decided to be grateful instead. I'm grateful for you and for the wonderful thimes you've given to me." When Eunhye said "Day, I have a favor to ask to you. Since it's ok if you forget everything else, will you remember just one thing for me? My name, Seo Eunhye." Yes, I think Mrs Heo gonna change a little for her daugther... I like when they danced together, and when Eunhye voice-off said "Day, did you know? If I never got on that bus... If I hadn't sat beside that woman with the same name as mine.... If I never lied... If ever one of those instances hadn't occured, we wouldn't have met. That's why I'm grateful for all my past pains and sorrows. Because of them, I was able to meet you."

I guess the problem for me is the ease with which they explain away the ending. Many issues were glossed over with a line running across the screen that said something to the effect that it's a "new day", and then presenting scenes that had no introduction as to what led into them. The editing in these dramas is always curious to me. They'll spend 5 minutes on a basketball game, but neglect elements that would explain how the characters came to behave in the last minutes of the series, leaving viewers to fill in the blanks, of which there are many.
I could swear I saw Pilgoo in surgical clothes standing at Park's side in the coming attractions for the last episode. Do they edit that out for a dance scene, or is it shot only for a preview? I suppose the dance was a metaphor for the happiest of endings, but it only made the actual ending more sad. I don't think Day remembers her at all. She asks if he knows her name, and the reason he does is because it's written on the card… he says it as if reading it, not with any recognition at all that I could see.
I also wondered what became of Day's gifts to Eunhye… the house, money etc. Were those all lost when the stock prices fell because she refused them? And she's on a bus from where? The college Day helped her get into supposedly four years earlier? It would seem more than just a "new day" had gone by.
While I enjoyed this one most next to KOBL, I think the endings consistently fall short.

They didn't show much of the surgery, but Pilgoo is supposed to be the one who operated, with Dr. Park next to him for advice rather that operating. I don't know what they showed in Korea, tho.
I suppose the money is gone, or she would have had her own car. I hadn't noticed that before you asked. At least the principal still had his chair.
