Lucy, Your feelings about the ending was gentle, and thats how I felt about the ending, it was gentle. It was sad, but at the same time its not as painful as the ending of knocked out love. Sushimi, I like you really wanted Day to remember Eunhye, but he did not Oh well, he is happy now and thats why all of us on this board are fine with the ending.

I think he did remember Eunhye, you guys . . . after he called to her, "Ms Eunhye," at the bus station, she looked at him and asked, "Do you remember me?" And he answered, "Yes, you're Ms Eunhye. Seo Eunhye." I felt he was making a point of saying her whole name. I think that, even though a lot of what he accomplished is now gone from his mind, the fact that it was so important to her that he remember her name drifted up to him through the mist of his mind. He might not remember everything about her and what she meant to him, but he knows her, and he wants to tell her that.

He might not remember everything about her and what she meant to him, but he knows her, and he wants to tell her that. When Day first walks up to Eunhye, it seemed like he did not know her. He said her name with a question mark... Yes, later Day does say her whole name just like you said, but I felt like someone had told him her name, who ever instructed Day with the job of greeting Eunhye. I felt like it didn't come from his heart. They did a good job with that scene. Its hard to tell, I want him to remember. I feel he does not.

Maybe he knows Eunhye... Don't forget he promised that he don't forget her name... And with Dr Park's wallet, when he was disabled, in the ep4, after his surgery, he remembers that Eunhye had stolen Dr Park wallet... I'm sure he recognize her...

Sorry, guess I need to of seen all of the show. I started watching this show late. The wallet scene make since to me. If Day remember the wallet, then maybe he did recognize Eunhye. I like that better then what I felt with the ending. ( Learn a lesson here, keep comments to myself until I see all of the show.)

DramaKaren I feel the same way as you. I really hope that he did remember her, but for some reason when he said her name it sounded like a question. AND it was written on that piece of paper, so he might have just memorized her name. Thats what I felt during the last scene, I had a feeling he didn't recognize her. I wish they would've been more clear on that. I mean there is no reason why he wouldn't recognize her, since he met her before he got the surgery, but like I said, the way he said it made me question whether he did in fact remember her.

I'm sure he recognize her... yes, it sounds like a question, because he just want to be sure that she's Eunhye's teacher.... I rewatched all the first 4ep those last days, and he was able to remember that she stolen Dr Park's wallet before and after his surgery....

Even if he doesn't remember her now, maybe it will come back to him after she lives there for a while. And of course, he is going to still have feelings for her. His loving nature will lead him back to her again.

How great this drama was. Look back at all the comments and speculations of what the future might hold for these characters. This will keep the story alive in our hearts and minds for some time to come.

It really says something for a drama when a week later we are still talking about how wonderful it was and how much the characters touched our hearts. I listen to the OST and remember all of the beautiful mooments in this drama.

I watched the rerun and picked up on some points I missed the first time. (There was a fire in our neighborhood, and trucks were blasting by) Anyway, I don't think Eunhye ever accepted the house and money, she didn't want to trade those for Haru's friendship. I wondered why she got so upset when Day announced he was getting the surgery at the dinner table. I thought she wanted him to live even if it meant he couldn't be smart anymore.
She did use his notes to pass her test though, and I noticed the pinwheel jewelry he gave her attached to her purse as she was returning on the bus. I think Park was talking to his Mother since they showed a photo of the two of them just before he came on screen.
I paid close attention to the last few minutes, and Day does say Eunhye's name without looking at the card, but again, it's more of a memorized answer than one of recognition. I saw disappointment and sadness in Eunhye's eyes when she realized he *doesn't* know her like she hoped he would. That's why she asks the question in her mind if he's really happy now. I think Lucy's interpretation is the most optimistic, and would like to think that willl happen.
