What's really sad about this character is that she's playing to a double standard like GC said the Mother of Sung-man and his Sister are doing. She's having an affair with a married man and claims at the same time that her love is justified with him even though she knows that adultery is still adultery. Then how is it different? It's not, really. Unless they have some sort of a past together. She's not helping her sister out the right way because she doesn't know where her sister's coming from because she's the other woman. But what i really like about her is her composure and level-headedness in dealing with difficult situations. Hopefully she'll get rid of that guy she's with. She deserves more than sneaking around and what not.

Youngie is very career-minded and doesn't believe in love or marriage. I think this is because of what happened in the past. Her first love dumped her to marry another woman who could further his career. Now, they meet again . This guy is one selfish sob. He wants Youngie and his career. I guess that when it comes to matters of the heart, it is very hard to be level headed. but Youngie has no future with him. I don,t think he would leave his wife because that would ruin his future. If Soonie finds out that her little sister is "the other woman' she would be devastated. I hope she finds out soon and knock some sense into her head.

I wonder what her justification is that's all really.

I wonder what her justification is that's all really. Maybe she just didn't want to give him up, even tho he got married. Breaking up wasn't her idea, and the guy didn't have the honor to cut her loose and respect his wife. I'm blaming the guy, oh, I don't love my wife, it's you I still love, it's just for my career, sorry, give me a kiss. the creep!

So, they have a past? It's not been made clear what's going on with these two. But it seems that him and Seungu have that issue about getting rid of the past and living with what they have.

I think he's a guy who was supposed to marry her that her sister (Soonie) was talking about. I've just finished watching the first episode, and man, this thing is so depressing (but fascinating)! What a horrible situation everyone is in, mostly of their own doing. I think I'm sitting on the couch with my mouth open, an expression of horror on my face, LOL, because I have to rearrange my face every time someone walks into the room. I just can't believe it, they're like a train wreck coming down the track. Lee Tae Ran is excellent as Youngie (which I will have to remember by her character's name on YH, LOL--Ja-YOUNG). I guess I'll make my other comments elsewhere in the discussion forum.

Bo, I always think of Lee Tae-ran as Hana.. It's really strange. That's the role i remember her best in.

I do, too, Bae, but she's a lot like Kyun Mi-ree, she can play quite a large range of roles.

You've pretty much summed up how I have felt about this drama from the beginning---like watching a train wreck, but it's hard to take your eyes away. It is a very different kind of K-drama for me. The characters are emotionally captivating, each in their own way--pathetic, hopeless, destructive, selfish, manipulative, etc. The acting is quite good, too, especially Soonie. (No wonder she is an award-winner.)

Thanks, FL, I try, LOL. It's fascinating. I had to watch several episodes without seeing ANYTHING because my reception was so messed up, and still, I sat there with my mouth open, trying to figure out what the HECK was going on. (I might have questions later, LOL.)

And that's exactly what happened on tonight's episode!!! -- And Youngie's acting was especially amazing!! (Actually, the acting of most of the actors in this drama is excellent.)

Yep, it was so interesting how Soonie's words materialized that very same day. Youngie says she's content to just be the other woman, but I think that Soonie made her realize (at least that's what I hope) that she should settle for that. He's never going to leave his wife and she needs to wake up and smell the kimchi.

she needs to wake up and smell the kimchi. ;D GC, LOL!!! I agree that Young-ie needs to realize her situation. The man that is she in-love with is married and has no intention of leaving his marriage. Everytime Young-ie tries to make that point to him, he keeps saying that it's not like that and that he loves her. Is this how Young-ie wants to live her life? He said that he married that other woman to become successful or something. But if he really loves Young-ie....why hasn't he made any attempt to end his marriage?

I just love watching Lee Tae Ran. She has been great in all the dramas that I have watched so far--YH, Tne Marrying Type. Would have loved to watch WML but unfortunately, this is not available in DVD/VCDs. Here as Youngie, playing 'the other woman', she tries to justify what she is doing, knowing full well that it is adultery.she met the guy first in school, they were already dating when her friend came along and the guy took off and married the friend . i think that for a while she tried to forget him, but he must have kept at Youngie telling her that he now realise he doesn,t love the wife....... that he wants to be with her..... How long is Youngie going to be in denial. Just as well that the wife found out about them. When everything is out in the open, the 3 of them will have to decide what to do. Will the guy divorce his wife to be wilth Youngie finally? I doubt it . If he really loved Youngie,in the first place he wouldn't have dumped her. And if he realised his mistake, he would have already divorced the wife earlier. The wife is certainly not going to take this lying down. She has already hired a PI on this. So the sooner she expose the affair, the better. This may be a blessing in disguise for Youngie. Finally, she is forced to see the situation for what it truly is. Adultery. And she is the other woman. This she is willing to accept. but can she accept the fact that the guy may once again dump her to stay by the wife's side? So far, it seems that his career is far more important than his personal life.

It seems judging by the previews that she gives him an ultimatum. I can't help but think, though that she'll keep being sucked in by him. The sad thing is that both sisters, Youngie and Soonie are so alone, even though they have each other, they don't confide in each other. Soonie won't tell Youngie she is sick and Youngie can't tell Soonie of her heartbreak. That guy is such a sleezeball. He doesn't even think about committing to her and yet he doesn't want her to move on either.
