I don't know what to feel about her leaving her sister alone in the hospital. In an earlier epsd, Youngie got really upset with Soonie for not telling her about the cancer until now, especially when she had to go for an important business trip to Japan at the time of the operation. She approached her boss to get somebody else to go. This was rejected. While Youngie was sending Soonie to the hospital, the boss called to remind her about the trip. Youngie told her she really cannot make it and wanted to resign. When soonie heard that, she asked if Youngie was mad to throw away such a good job. Soonie was being practical. If anything happens to her, she needed Youngie to take care of her kids. How can she,if she loses her job. Soonie was visibly very upset. I guess to appease her sister, Youngie agreed, although reluctantly. Youngie may seem to be very career minded, but here we see that she really loves her sister and is greatly aware of the sacrafices Soonie has made for her and the family. It is time for her to do something for her sister. As she said to the doctor--doesn't matter how much it cost, just as long as she can live.

I felt so bad for Soonie. I'm glad that the mom came though. Unfortunately, the mom WAS there in the waiting room during the operation, which was really good. Unfortunately, her cell phone rang and and it was that Horrible, Hideous Husband of hers raging at her for not taking care of the restaurant, etc. and Lo & Behold, HHH appears to be having a heart attack or something on the other end of the line. So Soonie's mom goes racing out of the hospital to go back home to HHH. AAaacckk!! Poor Soonie, the timing was terrible.

Wait, they didn't show that he has a heart attack or anything... was that cut out? or was that when the show ended?

When she got the phone call, he hollered, then stopped and gasped. She waited and jittered, being torn in two directions, but finally bolted out the door. Maybe he's lying on the floor, or maybe he's faking.

Wait, they didn't show that he has a heart attack or anything... was that cut out? or was that when the show ended? The subtitles said he said something suddenly like "OOOHhh, I'm dying!" And she had that moment of indecision Ginny described when she couldn't think what to do and finally ran out of the hospital to him. He better not be faking!

Oh, did I unjustly remove a post by finejade about episodes 13 and 14? It sounds like it. Can anyone tell me what episodes we are presently watching here in Chicago?

I think we might be up to epi 16. What was the gist of the post, Bo?

Actually, I think it was ep. 14 today because I was thinking, gee, almost two months of watching this show. Yeah, the husband does say, "I'm dying" , and utters a deathly moan. But Youngie showed up! By the way, are they in habit of killing off sympathetic protagonists in this genre?

I am still wondering whether YI slept with "jin-kook" like she thinks she did. If she did, that would mean that "jinnkook" (someone wanna help me out and tell me his name?) took advantage of her, wouldn't it?

By the way, are they in habit of killing off sympathetic protagonists in this genre? You betcha, by golly. They seem to like unhappy endings and ambiguous endings.

I think we might be up to epi 16. What was the gist of the post, Bo? Okay, Bae says it's not a spoiler, so here it is: Wow, I just finished watching episodes 13 and 14, which I taped earlier and never got a chance to watch. I didn't realize that I was going to need a lot of tissue paper for episode 14! I thought the scene where Soonie's mother has a meltdown in the restaurant was extremely moving. I can imagine a lot of mothers out there reacting the same way upon hearing that their children has cancer. In a way, it was still a bit surprising to see though, since she hadn't seen Soonie for so many years. But, your children are still your children and that scene really hit upon that. Hey ducky, In the immortal words of Groucho, (oddly enough from Duck Soup), "why, this is so clear even a 4 year old child could understand this! Now, run out and get me a 4 year old child; I can't make head or tails out this!"

That's fine, ducky (very funny indeed), but I removed the original posting because it's obviously a bot-thing phishing us.
Day before yesterday, accidentally discovered! Haah, haah, haah....priceless.
