Hi Yunyun I hope you have not spent too much money in those very tempting sales! Am I a panda? No, not really but that's what I felt like after the large Christmas lunch...but I am really a... Sorry, I posted the wrong picture earlier! Yes, a chimp that likes k-dramas Seriously, though, Merchant on Phoenix TV has reached a very interesting phase and I guess there will only be only a few episodes left. The question is, are they putting on another K-drama? Personally, I don't like any of the Chinese dramas. Till next time uk fan

Hi ukfan, Nice picture ;D ;D Here is a picture of me: Yes, I'm really a cat, who likes to read the Evening Standard ;D ;D Merchant is a little more interesting now that he has entered the palace and you can see gung nus and the Emperor. I'm sure I've seen some of those outdoor sets in DJG.... Love, Yunyun

Hi kitty Cat! (Yunyun!) I'm not a happy man today! I'm snowed in and it's too icy to drive anyway. What is the road condition in your part of the world? But, I managed..to watch the last episode of Merchant - and I am wondering which drama they will be showing tomorrow...emmm! Nice picture BTW, it is definitely you..haha! I like pandas too and if you want to pay Tai Shan a visit (the first panda born outside China - If I am not mistaken) click nationalzoo.si.edu/Animals/GiantPandas/ There is even a live webcam + various video clips of Tai Shan and mum. Going back to Merchant, I recognised quite a few of the scences /outdoor sets used in DJG too. ..I did get confused a few times wondering which drama I was watching.. Anyway, enjoy Tai Shan Till next time uk fan

Hi ukfan, Thank you ukfan for the panda link! I loved the live webcam of Tai Shan. ;D ;D He's grown alot, hasn't he? I didn't really like watching Merchant, mainly because I can't understand Mandarin very well, but also because the main character, Sang Do, never ever smiles! He frowns all the time. But I did enjoy seeing the DJG sets again ;D It's cold here, but it hasn't snowed. Just wet and miserable I've never been snowed in before....actually I don't think we get enough snow, never enough to build a snowman I thought about another New Year's Resolution.....to get BBC to show Dae Jang Geum! Happy New Year!Love, Yunyun

HI Yunyun
Yes, Tai Shan is a joy to watch isn't it?
Well, Merchant has reached its final episode yesterday...about the main character not smiling, well I guess it's either how he is or the character he played required him to look like that, but anyway, let's hope thet put something better next week - no repeats please!
You mentiond on another thread about having watched Yang Mi-Kung in another drama, is it a period drama produced by MBC? I've just checked her site and there is a clip of a new period drama (reference 428 in the VOD section)
All the snow has melted away today and it is a great deal milder - so I have to stop hibernating now...oh yes, friends are on their way to see the new year in...so....
Till next time

Hi ukfan, I hope you had a great Christmas and New Year! The drama I saw of Yang Mi-Kyeong was a new period drama, with the bad medicine girl from Dae Jang Geum playing her daughter. It's produced by MBC. I would really like to visit South Korea one day. Maybe that could be my next year's resolution! ;D I told my friends about the pandacam of Tai Shan, and they all love it! Thank you ukfan! ;D Love, Yunyun

I really love those animations of yours! Hi there..Yunyun. I had a great Christmas and New Year, although I will be celebrating the lunar New Year on the 29th January! How about you and your family? A new period drama? Well, I guess in our case we have to wait for the DVD to be released which would probably be next year....the next K-drama DVD set I will be purchasing would be The Immortal YSS, and apparently it will be available sometime this month. BTW, I visited Yang Mi-Kyung website before I came here and she has a video message on her home page (don't forget to turn off your pop-up blocker) - I couldn't understand a single word she says and I don't think she mentioned having received your Christmas card. ;D..and I hope the webmaster is going to provide an English transcript. Glad your friends like Tai Shan, but have you downloaded the screensaver? or have you visited the Animal Planet site as well? There are more video clips there (for your info. there is a link on the same page incase you are interested) Till next time uk fan

Hi ukfan, Whoops.....when I said new period drama I meant a modern ('new period') drama, rather than a 'new' period drama. Sorry ukfan The best thing about Chinese New Year is Lai See (those little red envelopes with money inside), that I get from my parents. ;D ;D I'm glad I'm Chinese. I saw Yang Mi-Kyeong's video message. She cut her hair! It looks pretty, but I think she's more beautiful with longer hair. I wish I understood what she said. The only thing I understood was at the end she said 'Thank you, Goodbye." ;D I have been following the news about the two little pandas (no.16 and no.19) that have been chosen to give to Taiwan. They are so adorable! They are going to give them names soon. I hope one of them will be called Yunyun! ;D ;D Bye for now, Love, Yunyun

please send me pictures of this great actress through my e-mail. thanks Joann: I assume this is a serious question. The actress in question is Yang Mi-Kyeong who played Madam Han in DJG and her website is loveymk.ivyro.net/ Yunyun: It's OK, mistake easily made, but if you look at the VOD section on YMK's site there is a clip of YMK in a new period drama - I guess it is a pilot. Anyway, we will find out soon enough. I agree with you I do like her with long hair as well but she looks younger with short hair though...how is that coming from me? Do you think she has a face-lift? She looks very young for her age. I tend to watch CCTV9 nowadays and I am very much up to date with Panda 16 and 19 which apparently the Taiwan governement might not accept as it might interfere with the sovereignty of Taiwan...which is a lot of nonsense! Anyway, thousands of names have been suggested but the favoured ones are "TuanTuan" and "YuanYuan" I am not sure of the spelling but apparently if you combine the two words you get the Chinese word " Reunion" which obviously upset the Taiwanese government! Hey..."YuanYuan"..."YunYun"....very close huh? ;D Till next time uk fan

Hi ukfan and yunyun and all out there... here's wishing you guys a belated but sincere happy lunar new year. As we say it here in Malaysia - Gong Xi Fa Cai or Gong Hei Fatt Choy.... ;D
It was nice to read all that has been going on with you Yunyun. Hope you received lots of ang pows from your parents and relatives.
See you guys later.

Thanks Kwoonie, Gong Xi Fa Cai to you and Yunyun too or should I say Selamat Hari Rya! (I think it is something like that and I do know the spelling is wrong before you say anything...it has been a long while since I last used the language) I did start a thread in the General section wishing everyone Happy Lunar New Year but it received probably the least amount of attention or appreciation on this board Just kidding, I guess most of us can handle only one new year celebration a year. Anyway like you I will probably drop in once a while as 2006 is going to be a very hectic year for me, well see you both when I see you! T T for now! ;D uk fan

Hello everyone! I'm glad to say, Yunyun is now back! I've missed all of you! Hi ukfan, Happy Lunar New Year! I saw on Yang Mi Kyeong's website that she has written fans a message, but it's in Korean, so like the video message, I can't understand what she's saying I'm missing Dae Jang Geum, not only don't I have the DVD's, my VCD has broken so I can't even play the DJG episodes I recorded! But I do like watching the VODs on Yang Mi Kyeong's site, and listening to her radio show. It looks like Yang Mi Kyeong has a new chat show 'Ri Beut A Shi A' (please excuse my bad spelling, my Korean isn't very good). I think it's official now that the little pandas names are Tuan Tuan and Yuan Yuan, I'm glad of that because they were my favourite names. And Yuan Yuan is very similar to Yun Yun! ;D ;D Hi kwoonie, it's nice to hear from you ;D Gong Hei Fatt Choy! Hope you had a great New Year as well. I received lai shi (is that the same as ang pows- red envelopes containing money?) from my parents, but not from anyone else because all my relations are in Hong Kong. Anyway, I had better go, dinner time! Take care everyone. Love, Yunyun
