Hi seven stars, Good one, hee, hee! He acts like a seven year old though. ;D Hi waterlily, That was annoying last week with the start-stop video, but at least it didn't affect the sub-titles. It's worse when you can't read the words or only the top line and you have to guess what the bottom line says. Good old WYBE, but if we didn't have them, we wouldn't have anything.

Hi soapygrams, I had just asked a moderator that question yesterday. I was dying to discuss the last two weeks shows, but didn't want to ruin anything for those behind us.

I was pleasantly surprised to see Bu Yong (sp.?) from AOW last night. She was the beautiful, gentle, loving, and wise lady that I think the Archfiend loved more than any other woman. She had to be very much in love with him too (throwing herself into the fire). Not my idea of showing love and devotion though. It almost seemed like an inside joke when Xue seemed to notice her first among all the other ladies and looked at her with interest.

Thank you seven stars and soapygrams for welcoming me to the board.
By stop action, I meant every few seconds the broadcast would freeze frame. Annoying enough to spoil watching the program.

tinkerbell - I managed to get our contact at WYBE to move the logo so it doesn't interfere with the subtitles any more. He watches the dramas when they come into the station so he didn't realize the logo was affecting the subs.

Thank you mtlandis for the web pages address. Looking forward to reading all the posts.
You are right tinkerbell. Without WYBE what would we be watching in this summer wasteland of programs. We certainly appreciate being able to view the wonderful Korean historical dramas all year.

Hi, I just joined - I'm fast becoming a Korean-Chinese-Japanese tv drama junky. I've been watching Dae Jo-Young on Time-Warner's Media Korea channel, which seems to be an outlet for KBS shows. They're way ahead of AZN or WMBC - up to episode 87 or so (I didn't get the numbers this weekend) and I'm feeling very frustrated because there are no discussions or episode summaries that far along. No one else seems to be watching on this station - or are they?

In Chicago, Time-Warner isn't a major cable outlet here (we have Comcast, RCN, and a couple of smaller ones) The next upcoming episode (i believe) is # 87, tonight (Mon, Sep. 10, repeat Tues Sep 11 afternoon). You can post a messge if you include the episode # in the title, and a non-spoiler title. That way, once people have seen the episode, they can join the thread. If you forget, you can & shold use the spoiler thread.

DJY really has a thing for sucking out disgusting "fluids" from people's bodies, doesn't he? (Chulin's snake bite and that poor boy with the infected leg) YUCK ! I'm usually very good at recognizing people from other shows, but I can't place where I've seen "King" Anseung (not much of a King) before. Does anyone know? BTW I found this exchange very moving Tinkerbell. If I could speak to the cast and crew of this series I would thank them greatly for such a powerful experience. Another interesting thought is the juxtaposition of DJY against the other driving characters (Xue Rengui, Li Kaigu, Chulin, Yeon Namseng and Li Wen). All five of those characters are driven by their personal passions. Xue Rengui pursues personal vinication in the eyes of the late emperor as well as personal revenge. Li Kaigu pursues personal revenge against DJY, DJS and Li Wen. Chulin follows her heart. Yeon Namseng is driven by his own ambition. Li Wen seems to have a chip on his shoulder and is certainly in pursuit of revenge against DJY Xue Rengui and Li Kaigu. Conversely DJY's actions are not guided by his passions, but are instead enhanced by them. He seems to make decisions based upon his duty first and foremost.

Hi! Thank you so much mtlandis!! It's good to know people with connections. We WYBE watchers appreciate your help. Waterlily, you are so right. Summer consists of reruns and "reality" shows( of course I do really like America's Got Talent"). I'm grateful we at least have one station that airs k-dramas. So seven stars, I take it you are hoping for more fluid sucking scenes? :oI think as a youth, in anticipation for the day DJY would leave home, he took some survivalists courses. Then again, he might have watched how they make fake blood (IYSS bonus DVD) liked the sweet taste and asked for more scenes like that. I agree with you about the characters. DJY is driven by good intentions to save the country and the people, not selfish or vengeful passions. This and other dramas have shown us that eventually righteousness wins out. BTW welcome waterlily and popularlibrary.

New York here too, sucks that we're just at ep 33 which had me crying like a baby nonetheless. I can't believe Manchun goes out like that... like I don't think I can watch anymore lol. It was tragic.

Stay with it Brooklyn! It keeps moving quickly.
Yang Manchung was the man and Sa Bugu is a complete coward. It's a real rollercoaster ride from that point on.
Thanks for checking in.
