;D ;D
Hey, I had to do it.
Anyway, I'm enjoying the show so far, though, its still rather slow to get to the point of Goguryeo defeat.
Their stalling too much with Yeon Gaesomun, IMO.
On a other note, is it me or is KBS historical sets becoming stale?
There is little diversity in the background to separate the eras, Dae Jo Young looks like its set in Koryo from Ages of Warriors.
Maybe its the funding, I guess.
Anyway, episode 22 or 23 is coming up this saturday, lets hope Yeon Gaesomun kick the bucket already and the downfall begins.

Hi skinz, I'm in Pa. , so tonight we will be seeing ep.#43. We're about 20 eps. ahead of you. I remember Yeon Gaesomun hung on for awhile (stubborn as a goat), but it won't last forever. They do sometimes drrraaaggg things out, but you'll get your wish soon enough.

Awhile back I had asked who Mimosa was. Well the past 2 episodes answered that question and more. I thought it was the guy from earlier eps that helped with the ship and the crew, but I wasn't sure. It turned out it was him and he looks nice with a beard (not as wimpy looking). Also I wondered where King Bojang had been taken and if he was alive. That was explained too. Actually I was pleasantly surprised to see him and surprised he hadn't been killed. Lastly, We finally got to see Chulin experience nausea so we know what that's all about.

Finally the old man Yeon Gaesomun kicked the bucket, it took quite a number of episodes to kill one person.
Funny that the show is named Dae Jo Young, yet, he's not the main protagonist in the first 25 episodes of the drama. Oh well......

I hear you Skinz. The nice part of it is that the storyline continues to move very quickly. It's like the first 10 episodes of AOW over the entire series.

skinz, I told you you'd get your wish soon. He did hang on for awhile didn't he? Soon it will be the "DJY drama" as he seems to become"a one man show" with a little help from his friends.

Hey guys,
I've come to the conclusion that this is not to far from a reprisal of Choi Soo Jong's role as Wang Guhn/Taejo in EWG, complete with Park Sulhee to play the part of sworn brother all over again. Different time period and Kingdoms involved (except in the case of Shilla) but the themes and flow of the storyline are very similar. Despite the familiar nature of the storyline I am thoroughly enjoying this series!

Hey Betz,
Hows the dance instruction going?
Did the Korean dinner in Cherry Hill ever come off? Sorry, I lost touch for a bit right around that time.
Great to hear from you!
-Stephen

"Hey Betz, Hows the dance instruction going? Did the Korean dinner in Cherry Hill ever come off? Sorry, I lost touch for a bit right around that time. Great to hear from you! -Stephen" Hey to you I'm still very much involved with dance... and hopefully this fall, early winter, will be having open audition/rehearsal seeking new members for my troupe... various social and world dance styles... keeps me busy, thanks for asking... And thanks for inquiring about the events in Cherry Hill, NJ ...myself and other Philly area folks interested in Korea, produced two Korean Cultural Banquets - November 2003 and again in April 2006... future banquets are planned and, of course, they will be announced on all the drama boards... you are still on our mailing list Betz in Philly betz.mc@verizon.net

Ah Betz let's not forget about www.koreandramas.net! You have attended our semi-annual get togethers quite regularly. Koreandramas.net is based in the Philadelphia area with members on every continent except Antarctica. (I guess the penguins haven't learned to type yet.) Anyway, we get together 2 times a year - typically September and April to share fun food and prizes. Our next one is coming up on September 29Th and all are welcome! Now that I have finished my shameless self promotion (thank you Soju & Mods for your tolerance of this quirk of mine), lets get back to the topic at hand - Dae Jo Young.... You can find episode summaries for all episodes aired in Philly on WYBE here (AZN is behind WYBE)..... forum.koreandramas.net/viewforum.php?f=92You can also find lots of pics, links and chatter about various characters and plot lines.
