I think Lady Han played a big role in promoting the drama because she was an influential character and highly respected... It wouldn't have been "DJG" without her

I really really want to see lady han alive she must never dye when she died my heart is broke. I AGREE with one of you that said lady han not dye and just fainted then she can go somewhere and jang geum never find her and tought she really died then jang geum do all she did in drma and after she punished all choies familiy and sir oh ,after ep 50 lady han come back ahhhhhhhhhhhh :-[if the things goes like this i pray for script writer and director all my life and lady han can be top lady in the palace be happy for her dughter jang geum and see jang geum s dughter it is true it is true she never dye

lol. kolbyj i agree with you that lady han dying was indeed very depressing.
but i think the whole point of it was that her death marked the fresh start of jang geum's path toward medicine. and it showed that she was able to overcome the fear of having no "mother figure" by her side. but yes i would have liked it better if lady han were to have lived longer.

Umm .. I would have made Mama Han alive till the end of the story I'm really into her. I am mesmerizes by her character
