Sorry to bring up this dated thread...
Hmm... if I could have changed one thing about Dae Jang Geum, maybe I would have placed Jang Geum under the Lady Choi (or any one who is in her circle of influence). This would make it more interesting, dramatic and more challenging to Young Ae.

Does anyone remember the scene where Lady Choi confesses her sins in front of the grave of JG's mother? She says that she wonders about what would have happened if they were to change places. She asks her if it would have been the same if Lady Choi became JG's mother, and JG's mother became Lady Choi... I thought this scene was touching I'm not sure if anyone had a problem with this... but if I were the script writer, I would add more love scenes between Min and JG... hehe... I just thought they were an adorable couple

i would make sir min love guem young instead!!! in this way, all parties will stay happy. geum young will be happy so she wouldn't get jealous and turn her back at jang geum (jang geum suffer less as a result cuz for most of the plot, if you have noticed, geum young is the mastermind behind it. she's admirably smart, but in the evil way). i think for geum young's character, she will ignore everything and run away with sir min. in addition, i don't have to see hong rina tear so much and the scary stare geum young gave at jang geum. as for jang geum, she will stay as good friend with sir min. i think this must be much better for her. she will now suffer less harm when geum young(her character is actually not bad, juz tt she is partly jealous of jang geum and partly bucz of her family tt plot against her) and sir min help her. n lady choi is nothing without geum young to support her. isn't tt happy ending...

ohdarlin- oh no! If Min loves keum young, then JG would have died in a second! He saved her life sooo many times...Even if Keum young does not turn her back at JG, Lady Choi would have come up with an evil scheme to kill her. I think the story was better with Min loving JG, because.. 1. They are adorable together 2. Keum Young is viewed with hate but also pity at the same time 3. If Min loved Keum Young, it would be like him going to the "bad" side...

Oh yes, also it'll be much better if the cooking scenes could get the actresses to do them themselves ;D But I understand that the real chef was there cos if not there will not be the professionalism and talent of JG, LH, LC, GY etc ;D Well but maybe find more similiar hands? ;D
