For Uhm Tae Woong fans.... I watched a show called "Two Days, 1 Night" (on DramaFever) with Uhm Tae Woong along with other actors in it. They are given different challenges to complete over the two days/1 night. It starts out a bit slow, it gets better and at times is funny. I don't know if Uhm Tae Woong is naturally quiet but he isn't that outgoing or as talkative as some of the other actors, he almost seemed serious when trying to solve some of the challenges....but it is still Uhm Tae Woong!! (hope this is the right place to post this, feel free to move it if it is not)

2 Days 1 Night is a popular KBS variety show. The cast members have changed over the years. You can watch it at DramaFever or on KBS America 24.7.

Uhm Taewoong is famously NOT like his screen persona. He's a very serious, quiet person, to all accounts.
And, yep, you hit the right forum here. LOL.

And, yep, you hit the right forum here. LOL. bird11 originally posted this in the upcoming K-Dramas thread. That's why she made the comment on the bottom of her post. I moved it to its own thread.

I just realized there were new episodes of this show on drama fever and have been watching all week. Some of them are so funny!!! Uhm Tae Woong really seems to come out of his shell here-- not as much as others, but still great to see him laugh out loud. I think it was in episode 5, one of the other guys gives Tae Woong a present for his new baby, and it is cute shoes for his baby and Tae Woong looks really touched. If you have time, check this show out, makes me laugh a lot.....

I couldn't get the sound to work on my computer so I just read the subtitles for a few minutes--but it's really cute. Looks like a Survivor type thing? I'll watch on the Roku instead. I couldn't find our boy Taewoong, but then I spotted him under the old-man hat, and then I realized most of them were wearing old-man hats. LOL. Thanks, Bird, for the pointer.

I began watching this show only recently (though I had seen one episode when I was in Korea last year). I have been trying to get caught up on older episodes, but a lot of them seem to have been pulled. Only the very newest ones are available on Dramafever.
The show is so silly, but it is funnier than just about anything on American TV. I think my favorite episode was one where the guys were in pajamas and they were blanket wrestling. I laughed til I cried.

Glad to hear you like this show... sometimes it just makes me laugh out loud! The last episode I watched when they were out at the forest preserve and beach -- beautiful scenery plus some laughs -- makes me really want to take a trip there!

I watched episode 6 last night and it was good. The start of the show was really funny, and at the end of the day they did another challenge where the guys had to pass carved out 1/2 shells of water melon between their feet, so they laid on their backs and passed it each other using their feet -- the shells had water in them, so of course when they tilted the guys got splashed on. Amazing to me on how well these guys get along with each other, like they have known each other for years. Uhm Tae Wong is great to watch, sometimes his reactions are so unexpected.

So I just finished watching episode 8 and it is a winner-- it is the "second half" to ep 7, because it happens after their day of challenges. They play one game similar to what I call "Mother May I?"-- but in this version, one person is "it" and he turns his back to the others and they try to sneak up on him, but when the "it" person turns around they have to freeze or be caught and sent back to the start. The "trick" to this version is that 1/2 way thru the sneaking up they have to stop and uncover some food and then they have to eat the food as they get closer to the person who is it-- and now when the person who is "it" turns around, not only do they have to freeze they also have to stop eating/chewing! Some of the foods they ate were watermelon, lemons, ramen, spicy peppers ect. It was really funny to watch! At the end of this episode they went to a place that has different areas set up like different countries and had to chose a card from each area-- sometimes the card said they had to get a bowl of water thrown at them or they had to complete a game or answer a question... There are so many wonderful places they have visited when doing this show it makes me want to visit Korea even more, but I have no idea how you would chose what to see-- it all looks so beautiful. If you have some free time, watch this-- it makes me laugh soooo much!

Changes are coming to 2 Days 1 Night. Lee Su Geun, Kim Jong Min, Sung Shi Kyung and Yoo Hae Jin are leaving the show. Joo Won had already left prior to this. They'll be replaced by Yook Joong Wan, John Park and Minho from Shinee. Uhm Tae Woong and Cha Tae Hyun are the only current cast members staying on.

It's getting hard to tell who's going and who's staying. Seems to change from day to day. Now I read that everyone's leaving except Jong Min and Taehyun. Such a bummer.

Still watching this show, but I also like watching a show called "Return of Superman" where famous dads watch their kids for 48 hours without their wives. I like it because it is fun to watch the kids-- I originally started watching it because Big Bang appeared on a few episodes. Recently, Tablo and his daughter, Haru left the show and now Uhm Tae Woong and his daughter has joined the show-- so maybe that would interest someone?? There is a set of twins on the show and a set of triplets. Some of the places they visit are really interesting and the food these kids eat can be amazing.......

I am not sure how many people will find this post but episode 85 (current episode)of "Two Days,1 Night" and the next one, ep 86 are having the actors on this show do a Historical Treasure "hunt". They are visiting many things in museums and other places and I found it very interesting. One item they saw was the world's oldest printing. Some of the people on this board who watch the historical drama, may find these two epsiodes worth their time. I was not sure where else I could post this, so I hope people will see this and check it out.
