I look forward to reading all this. Thanks, fellers.
sageuk, are you talking about the bell tower? My friend grew up in the town where it is, and she said they moved it some years ago, just picked it up and moved it, so it couldn't be all that big.

no Bo, it doesn't have roof so it can't be bell tower & its name told it is a star observation tower. my friend did , he visited the tower, tombs and pagodas too, he said the architecture very beautiful but weren't too big as we imagined, and the sceneries were great.

Okay, so it's an astronomical observatory tower. I thought my friend called it a "bell tower" but now that might have been my boyfriend passing along a message to me, him not being Korean or even interested ;D. But she did say they moved it.

It was moved? We'll have to ask truth about that.
I don't recall if graves ever appeared in the series but does anybody want to know what the graves of the Silla royal family looks like? They are REALLY HUGE MOUNDS SO HUGE YOU"D THINK THEY WERE HILLS.

Okay, so maybe she was talking about a different tower, or maybe a turtle boat or a palace, I get things wrong 50% of the time. I have to speak with her later this week, I'll try to figure out what the heck we were talking about. Bo

She made it for a project when she was in elementary school. I gather an "A" (or equivalent) was awarded. So show some RESPECT. Har....
She keeps saying, "I made the tower. I made it." And you know me. I always want to say, "I didn't realize you were that old." Or maybe, "Channeling the Queen, eh?" But she's pretty earnest so I'd then have to explain the joke. I love her, but I'm always having to explain my jokes...wait. I see a pattern here....

I certainly will that's an achievement at that age ,bet she did it quicker than her ancestors in Shilla (of course i do not know if her lineage comes from Shilla it just fit )

I think papier-mâché moves faster than brick and mortar (or whatever it is). ;D I guess her lineage could be Shillan, she lived in the area. Right?
I asked her, she said the BELL was moved, some sort of huge bell where they had to cut powerlines to get it from one place to another. She also said when they were kids, they played games in and around the mounds at the royal cemeteries up there. Ah, youth...

Hi. Question here. Would you say this is a fair statement?
"You can look around for some Korean history books, but unfortunately there is little available in English."
Any input appreciated.
