About the painting ... While I agree it might become haunting, his actions, wrestling with IY who had just been through an in vitro attempt and then breaking the glass, were inexcusable. And why not humor his wife who is the one who went through the physical torture of fertility treatments for a YEAR? I say it showed what a controlling cad his character is when under stress. Who needs that in a spouse?
I wasn't home yesterday and today my daughter is sick (AGAIN), so I missed the episode, but I've got my alarm set to remind me tonight so I can see the outcome of this whole divorce discussion.

Yeah I know, who would want that above their head, but if it's something that'll give IY peace of mind, then he should've let it go, can't he see that his wife is depressed, better yet, if he didn't like it, he could've clamly asked her to take it down and rationalize w/ her instead of throwing it on the floor like that, he never even apologized for what he did. i agree with you ovaridedis24. actions speaks louder than words, and kj was just yelling out his disgust. without even giving hers a single thought. and he feels frustrated. let's turn the tables on him and have him go through 8 artificial inseminations, pregnancy tests, and in vitros and come out with a big smile. that would never happen. his face would drop even more. his tongue would mop the floors. so his thoughtfulness is inexcusable. imho

Wow, that went a little more smoother than I thought, I really thought KJ would've begged and pleaded his ass off with IY, but he was able to let her go...I guess he deserves a little credit, he even stood up for her, but alas, too little too late...I really wish IY would've stood up for herself, MIL would've blamed her regardless, so IY might as well give MIL a piece of her mind.

Wasn't that outrageous when SM said "Can't you do what I want this once"? Sheesh, that's all IY has done since she quit her job, nearly 3 years, just what MIL wants. Ungrateful wretch!

Why don't they just live away from his mother? I guess separation isn't really possible, even if living in a diff house? I thought they showed more passion while breaking up than combined during the whole prev. show!

Yes, Ginnycat! It was totally outrageous. That woman is nuts.

I think Ki-joon and his family, except for his aunt and her husband, are dysfunctional misfits. When Ki-joon got the apartment for In-young, I thought it would be a nice place for both of them. Why didn't he take In-young, in the first place, far away from his selfish, controlling mother?
Ki-joon didn't offer In-young an alternative to divorce like moving away. He just got her a place, then returned home to his bedroom. He's so intent on making his mother happy with a grandchild that he'll divorce In-young. Maybe he'll contact Hee-joo whom SM seems to like. If he does marry Hee-joo, I doubt if she will be waiting on Mother "hand and foot".
I feel so sorry for In-young who is really an intelligent, loving person. Life with Ki-joon has just sucked the life out of her for 3 years. I think she'll end up with Jae-min, first, as his employee, then as his wife. She'd make a great step-mother for Him-chan.
Poor In-young just needs time to forget the miserable life that she had in that home. I do hope, though, that she keeps in contact with Ki-joon's aunt.

I agree with you sandy. why did KJ marry IY. Couldn't have been for love. If so, than he sure didn't love her enough. I would have fought tooth and nail for my spouse. For better or for worse? I guess it's different in Korea. He went through depression, near death, and craziness to marry IY, only to divorce after 3 years because of no children. I think if SM let them do it naturally with no stress he might have had twins. But pushing her to get those treatments was a bit much. I guess having a grandchild right after marriage is a must in Korea?

As IY's sister was walking thru the airport, ... TA DA, Hee-Joo is B A C K.... it was a very quick freeze frame of the sister's face and HJ's face as they headed in opposite directions. YIKES... you can bet one of her first contacts will be BansheeMom.

Yeah...if Ki-joon didn't grab the painting and had just said, "It's a wonderful picture," what would have happened? In-young would have just smiled and the two would get along as usual. But either way...I think the relationship was doomed.

I finally saw the episode where IY asks KJ for a divorce, and it just dawned on me.
I think he'll agree to the divorce because he loves her, not because he doesn't.
It must be equally hard to see his wife being mistreated by his mother only for his mother's sake. Of course, we know KJ will not go against his mother. So to protect IY from her clutches, he has to let her go.
I disagree with this thinking, if this is how he is thinking. I would stand my ground and face my mother head on. But that's me and not poor KJ. Wish he had fought for IY just a little more. HE and SHE would be so much happier. OR MOVE OUT for IY's sake.
Oh! well all that rationalizing won't make them stay married. Divorce is the inevitable. Too bad!!!

Well, IY was the one that didn't want to move out. He wan't ever against the idea, so IY is to kinda blame? I mean, she should've just gone along with it from the beginning. They could've gotten pregnant on their own time, not when the doctor says.
