Thanks for the information about getting the music from the "asia" web site, I was hoping I could go to a store in the Northwest suburbs and just plop the money down and buy the CD. I am not one to buy stuff online, any ideas where I could buy one "in person"? or maybe a music store that might order one for me? thanks for the help!

To "hi" I have the sheet music book. It came with a CD, but it's not the OST. The CD it comes with is called "Winter Love Song Classics," and it's solo piano arrangements of the WLS songs, played by Ho Lee, the composer. It's sort of a New-Agey-sounding, quiet-background-music kind of album. I recommend the sheet music (see description upthread).

to ease my frustration during my dinner party I played the HoLee cd as background music (had it on 'repeat') ... Its very soothing.... but you gotta get the OST to get that beautiful piece that was playing while Joonsang tossed all those lovely items into the sea... and then wept..

I loved how the music got more intense as his crying got more intense. That was really wonderfully done. At first he's just tearing up, and the song is low, by the time he's bawling, the singers voice is really loud until the crying and the singing get mixed up. I liked that scene, but I sure wish he hadn't tossed the necklace. But I guess he didn't want to have anything to remember her by either.

If you're interested in the lyrics of that song, I'll try my best to translate it since I know a little korean. Even one thing, or even a little Don't forget Even if I'm not by your side Don't forget, my love Even the first time, even now Even if I'm near I'll protect you, wait until I come Please wait for me until we meet Since we first met, even if I'm a bit late wait until I come for you This is a crude translation but maybe the OST has the english lyrics.

Oh I missed a line:
After "I'll protect you" It goes "wherever you are, whenever you are"

thank you so much moreshige.. your translation lays out the lyrical message very nicely.
It sounds so beautiful sung in Korean ... and your translation makes it even more so.
the OST is beautifully written.... in Korean so your input here is ver appreciated by all of us who loved that ocean scene and #11 on the OST.

Moreshige - I know one of the classical pieces too. It's the one that starts with the piano playing one note at a time and has oboes in it occasionally. Have you seen Trois Coleurs: Bleu? It's a French movie part of a series. It's the first movie, Blue, then there are White and Red. Anyway, that song played a prominent part in the movie - it was supposedly a song composed to commemorate entry into the EU. Google is my friend; I looked up the score from the movie and I think that the song is "Song For the Unification of Europe," by Zbigniew Preisner. But when I try to listen to it, it only plays the middle and the haunting one-note melody is in the beginning of the song only. And all online samples seem to have the same sample of the song. 104-9596884-4813541?v=glance I finally did some searching on the DVD for that classical piece that sounded so familiar. I'm not sure if we're talking about the same piece but it sounds "french" to me because it always plays whenever Joonsang and Yujin has a tender moment, especially when they're chatting at a cafe'.

Yeah, when I first heard this song, the music itself sounded like a pure korean (folk) melody. If you have an ear for asian traditional music you can tell the difference between korean, chinese and japanese traditional music.
