I really thought this show was terrific. It has everything I like...period costumes, lot's of action, likeable characters and it is so unique. A drama that is set in a past time (love the outfits) but with modern touches "a little CSI with the investigations" modern dialog, but a wonderful historical type setting. Also, the "flying action scenes" are filmed more like a movie than a TV series.
I can't wait to see tonight's episode.

I just caught the last half of the show on Friday and was just speachless! What an amazing show. Interesting characters, the best acting I've seen on television, intense drama and explosive action.
I'm hooked!

I think I liked it, but I found all the fancy camera work quite distracting. For me, a little bit of the fast-motion stuff goes a long way. 'Bodyguard' had some, but not so much as to get in the way of the story.
The story does seem to be pretty good, and the characters work. I just think the camera should switch to decaf.

Wow. i only caught like the first few minutes up until the guy stopped at this huge moutain or rock and was fighting the girl. i didn't have time to watch the rest but i recorded it but i havent watched it yet. those first few minutes definitely got me hooked already. if those first few minutes can do that, imagine what the rest of the drama will be like. ;D

I liked the fast-motion. The first time it threw me off - my first thought was "lock, stock." I like Chae ok a lot. Her whole standing on the sidelines absorbing everything that's going on and then coming out with all the info bit is neat. And my new cutie for this show is the rebel in the straw hat. Also, I haven't watched a historical drama before, so I'm not sure if they do this in all of them, but I found the definitions handy.

The first episode made me laugh.
It was as if someone took a page (no, several pages) from the CSI playbook, complete with zoom-ins to the "evidence" and the zoom-in sound effects, and the really quickly moving camera action, and transported it to 1692 Korea. It was pretty funny.
I like the emphasis on the strong woman, and I'm looking forward to seeing how the storyline plays out. Watching the "polo" game was fun.
I'm hoping someone in Korea is watching Six Feet Under and thinking, "Hmmm...."!

Wow…. I have not written a post in ages and when I viewed the drama Damo I just had to bring out my keyboard and praise this drama and basically I was pretty much speechless. I was glad to see a lot of familiar faces from previous drama’s. I was really intrigue with the story and glad to know it is not a predictable story and it keeps me wondering what is going to happen next. These types of drama get my brain buzzing and the actor’s/ actress’ are great. The drama has a lot of outstanding artistic martial arts choreography and I love how it appears as if they are doing a type of warrior dance. ….Ha Ji Won really knows her sword work. I just can not wait to see what is in store for the outcome of this drama. And if viewer’s really like Damo you should check out the movie staring Jet Li Hero. ;D

Hero was pretty good! I liked the visual effects a lot - with the different color washes based on the different characters' memories/stories.
I have trouble getting used to the sword work because the swords are so bendy that it looks like the sword fighters are shaking all the time (which makes me think that they're not so sure of themselves). It was in Hero and I noticed it in this too. But, it's interesting seeing the different styles.

Welcome back, Mariah and Alexa! It's nice to hear from you! I really like the story between Chae-ok and Yoon, and I'll take him as my favorite cutie! Question for veteran Daily Drama fans:Does anyone remember the drama from 1999 that aired in Chicago, called Our House? (If you need clarification just ask) I'm pretty sure the actor who plays the cop (cop?) who's head was cracked open in the polo game was the brother from Our House! And was that one of the Joyland directors, the guy who led the polo match in place of Lt. Hottie? I'm not sure of their names or rank yet. The pop music threw me for a minute! And I've never seen Crouching Tiger or the Matrix, so I've never seen that slow-motion-flying stuff before. I thought it was cool how Yoon and the Our House cop flew to the roof of the pallbearer's house. So casual. Another bit I liked was the way that big guy in the blue outfit kept getting poked in the eyes like a Stooge, and smacked around by his dad. Very funny! (Is that big guy the the same punk that started trouble for Yoon in school in the flashback?) I'll definitely keep watching!

I didn't get a chance to watch it over the weekend but will definitely watch tape the re-airings. Everybody seems to think this is a good show.

I'm reserving my judgment for now. I'd like to hear the opinions of anyone who didn't like the show, for the record.

The pop music threw me for a minute! Ah!.. that's something I forgot to mention. Yeah, this is why I tried to stress the point that Damo is different from other historical dramas. BTW, Damo has a really good soundtrack.

(Is that big guy the the same punk that started trouble for Yoon in school in the flashback?) I don't know if it's the same person but I think that the big guy is his (legitimate) half brother. Not sure though.
