I love this show too (but then again, I also liked phoenix). It's not necessarily the genre that I liked - the first time I saw some of the stuff (like the camera work and the flying) I was taken aback. The pop music I liked instantly; just because a show is historical doesn't mean it has to have historical music - and I always like it when historical music is incorporated into pop music too. The camera work and the flying has grown on me.
But back to my point, I like this drama for its dramatic aspects - the actors, the scenes, the lines, the emotion and the plot of the show. The special effects are just pretty extras.

To Knov1, regarding my post of Oct. 29th: I'm sorry if I was too critical of Damo. We all have our tastes and preferences, and maybe I came on too strong. Also, you were right about my P.S.-I was being lazy, tacking it on this thread. And more about the character's whole life IS being shown.

It's fine. Don't worry about it. There's nothing wrong with being critical as long as you can express your thoughts in a constructive way. My point is, with Damo you have to take things for what they are as you're watching and after you've seen the whole series you never know, you might just feel differently. I hope everyone will continue to watch and keep an open mind.
