Hi, Amber-- I'm very sorry about your health difficulties. My cousin (age 45) had basically the same problem--endometriosis all her life, had fibroids for years, they got bigger and bigger, and it finally resulted in a hysterectomy last year. I'm not saying her case is analogous to either yours or the fictional Jee-hae's, though! My problem was not that there might not really be a disorder that would account for her symptoms, but that the doctor didn't explain anything to Jee-hae. She just let her jump to the conclusion that either she was infertile or was going to be, even before they had any sort of diagnosis. So what Jee-hae (and we) come away with is, "Jee-hae may have a polyp, therefore we all need to start mourning right now because we assume she's already infertile or is going to be once she has the surgery." That's what doesn't add up for me. Best of luck to you--I really hope you don't have any more scary episodes.

To Lucy-Sorry about your relative too-I'm 59. Keeping an eye on it, thanks. Yes, Jae Hee is massively jumping to conclusions, mostly because of her doctor's lack of communication skills. Glad the family has closed ranks against the two "Beastie Boys"-now she should calm down or obtain a second opinion. Jaemin is coming through for her now, just as he should. That "girly" euphemism made me laugh-the machine edited my perfectly proper adjective-the edit function would have done better to simply remove the "obscene" v-word and not offer such a lame, "so not me" substitution. Oh well. I can't think about this today...I'll think about it tomorrow, like Scarlett. Hope everyone had a nifty holiday!

Here in Philly we just saw the episode where she got the ride to work from the two stalkers (nothing yet about her getting sick/pregnant again/infertile. ) What I want to comment on was the fabulous way Jae-Min's mom gave her hubby the what-for regarding his absentee parenting.... while constantly criticizing her for hers. Basically, it made sense to me. "You think I have feminized your son? Try helping with parenting so he can be more "masculine". Granted, she IS overprotective, but if she was attended to well by her hubby, she would not need all her male attention from her son. Anyway, why DOES everybody think he is so feminine/weak/wimpy/whatever? He seems normal to me. Maybe a little on the jealous side, but Jee-Hae is being insensitive to him, even though she is basically innocent concerning Bandaid and friend.

(My screen name is misspelled in the previous post)
Also, why are they able to keep closing the store early for personal reasons without having money problems? And all those free samples!

i also saw the episode where jae-min's mom told her husband off.
i think that jae-hae can prevent bang dae from coming around if she wanted to. i mean if he was a real friend he would not be trying to break up her marriage. why cant she see that her childhood friend is not out just to be "friends" with her? do she like the attention or something? maybe she's bored with her marriage i dont know.
and i dont think that jae-min is being irrational. if everyone remebered she flipped out on him when he even SMILED at another woman....i mean she chased him out into a street and into an accident for christ sakes.
jae hae would have a fit and be screaming for a divorce if his "friend" came back in his life and made comments on how he should have married her.

Forgive me if I get all these names confused, but I know the characters. I remember when Jae-Hae was jealous of Jae-Min's attention to the women who came into his store to buy cosmetics. It was purely for business. After Jae-Min was hit by the car, Jae-Hae realized how much she loved her husband.
I haven't seen any episodes for the last few days, really miss them, but I wonder if Jae-Hae has second thoughts about her marriage. However, I don't think so. Jae-Hae must find it perplexing that the Bang-Dae she knew from past years, as a friend, is now trying to destroy her marriage. His friend is a real menace.
I think if Bang-Dae loved her so much, he would have offered to marry her. With so much time on his hands, Jae-Hae has become an obsession, not a lover.
Jae-Min is right in becoming suspicious, but I still think that Jae-Hae loves Jae-Min. She's happy to see Bang-Dae again, as a friend, but not as a lover. She's confused, but needs to tell Bang-Dae and his friend to "hit the road", so to speak. Her father complicates the situation by welcoming them into his home, not realizing how much pressure this is placing on his daughter and son-in-law.

LOL! You know, I didn't even notice it the first time around. That substitution is freaky. Who would think "girlthingy" is an appropriate substitution. I think we have a teenage boy making up our "censored" euphemisms. Apologies to whoever actually wrote the script or whatever for us, if you are reading this, but it does strike my ear that way.

Maybe this'll give the writers a way to explore a new experimental surgery avenue - I'm thinking the one where they remove a tiny piece of the uterus and some eggs and then re-implant them after chemo - that is, if she doesn't have to get them removed.
I was really confused at first about Ji-hae's problem because I didn't get the deal about polyps - I know a woman who gets uterine cysts every so often, but she says that they're not dangerous and don't affect anything, so that's what I thought these were. Now I see that they're more serious.

I haven't been impressed with the actor that plays jae-min until these last two episodes aired, the flashback scenes of the early part of their relationship were touching and then tonight when he cried while being held by his mother, begging her to wake jee-hae up almost brought tears to my eyes, his love for jee-hae is deep and sincere.

I, too, had tears for Jae-Min after he receives bad news from an adoption agency. He sits alone, along a river, just deep in thought. Then he visits his wife, weeps on the shoulder of his mother while his stoic father just stands by. How sad because he loves Jae-Hae.
