There is a new drama airing at Singapore, "My Lovely Samsoon." In order to get more viewers, they made this ad.... The drama "My Lovely Samsoon" is about an unattractive single woman in her 30s who works as a party chef. To attract viewers, an ad was made in singapore with LYA's face covered in Samsoon's cake... I was kind of disturbed with this commercial at first, because i thought this commercial was a bit too much. But, I guess that DJG was really popular in Singapore... right?

Oh, I don't know. I've seen worse ads than that, it's not really suggestive or anything, just kind of jokey. You know those new kids--always have to try to put egg on the face of the reigning queen, but she's still the best and everyone knows it, LOL. I expect next we'll see DJG giving Samsoon a bowl of medicine on the front of her dress, eh?
Seriously, I think they are comparing apples and oranges. DJG is a drama, it's got light moments but really it's pretty heavy stuff. Sam-soon is just a light comedy. An excellent one, of course, but you can't say one is "better" than the other, they're both great in their own genres.

i liked it and it was funny, but it's not a classic like DJG. It won the mini series award for the seoul drama awards though..

Pâtissier is a pastry maker, not a party chef.

there's no such thing as too much. its becoz u r a DJG fan, thats why its only natural u think its too much. look it on the side of samsoon fans. they will think otherwise. anyway, both dramas are different, so there's no comparison. the ppl who watch the two dramas might even be different. those who watch DJG will enjoy a good storyline and development, whereas those who watch samsoon are just out for a good laugh. i'm suprised u find it disturbing. i thought it was funny and the person who created the ad was creative!

i think it would be unfair to compare the Sam Soon drama to DJG coz the second one IS really UNMATCHED in terms of cinematography, and the plot of the story...
hello everyone.. glad to be back...

Though both are produced by MBC, it was created by difference people (director/script..etc). DJG people would not have approved of such tatics. If the roles were reversed, Samsoon people would not have approved either. Negative advertising should be avoided as much as possible. It reminds too much of our local politicians. They should try to advertised based on it's own merits. -fc

MY lovely samsoon finished airing earlier this year here in the philippines -- and GMA7 is reairing it agaion every weekend ! coz it's really a great drama! i love it too but jasmine is right its not fine to compare it to DJG, firstly because DJG is a tradional drama and My lovelysamsoon is a modern romantic-comedy drama. you can compare it to fullhouse and my girl tho. hehehe.
but surely it'll be a big hit in Singapore too ^_^ but DJG will always be the best hehehe~

even if DJG IS a traditional drama and Samsoon is modern... STILL samsoon does not match the overall quality of DJG...
even if I wasn't a fan... still i would rate DJG higher in quality than SAm Soon...
