ukfan, as they say in real estate: location, location, location! i think the forum & yahoo groups can serve as our "nerve center" when it comes to suggestions and ideas for new strips, promotional campaigns, etc. as for the blog, i think that's our best bet to showcase the comic strips.  what do you think? Done!, we go for all 3! I will get these set up today/tomorrow. So, get your thinking caps on folks, we need ideas for these comic strips. Download the blank graphic (right click and save-as) to your pc. 2. Text entry: use a graphic software (anyone would do), type in the text and save the file and a jpeg file. Then you can either email that to me or you can create a free photo hosting service like that provided by www.photobucket.com, upload and copy and paste the link onto this board. 3. Language; If you want your comic strip in Chinese then your graphic package must be a Chinese version where you can type in Chinese text etc. At present, I don't know any chinese graphic package. i give up on ALsee software. i'm lazy to use other graphics software, so can you do my a favour to post up the comics for me (i will give you their conversations).

Right, I have just checked out ALsee and it is very limited and it doesn't allow you to enter text to your graphic (unless I have missed something which I don't think I have). BTW, if you want to save your edited pic/graphic , you select File, then SAVE AS or SAVE Sorry! So you have to find an alternative. I use professional packages like PhotShop CS2 or Corel Photo-Paint X3 but there are tons of cheaper graphic software...ask around, I don't know what is used in Singapore. ukfan |

yes, very limited. in singapore we use the softwares you mentioned too. the former is widely used. i'm looking out for other alternatives p/s: so did you receive my trial PM to you? |

ukfan, there has been a suggestion to make a comic strip among the young palace girls somewhere in this thread. i like that idea, too. i would also like a strip featuring the female physicians in the palace. i can already think of some very interesting lines for them! hahaha! ;D and how about madam shin [the top madam before she was booted out by lady choi] and her henchwoman? ;D |
