Lucy, yangban refers to both a korean social class and way of living life, the yangban were well-educated, well bred aristocrats who were viewed s having the responsibility of being examples to the people. even if they were impoverished, they were still given respect for their scholarship and family history. unfortunately, many became corrupt and the people saw them as simply an upper class expoiting the lower ones, which is why sir min gets in trouble when he tries to help that village with the outrbreak. but ideally the yangban epitomized the confucian ethos of hard work, scholarship and moral conduct Ladeez, r we quiverin' now?  |

you know there's a god when there are men as lovely as ji jin hee (made in his own image indeed)
i have a slide show of his pictures as my wallpaper on my computer (much to the bemusement of my boyfriend)

Thanks, ladies. VIB, I agree with you 100%. Mmmmmm. But don't worry, I will stay loyal to Min-jae of OMR and off your turf. I don't have enough energy right now for a full-blown obsession, so I'll just admire the both of them cordially and appreciate their pretty faces. (Sir Min is prettier and handsomer, but Min-jae's face holds more interest for me.)
