i know there'll be much dissent on this, but I cannot stand Yu Jin! I mean, like Yu Kyung has been telling her, it is not Minjae's fault that she had a miscarriage. Minjae is hurting just as much as she is. I understand Minjae hasn't shown her much physical affection, but I think it is unreasonable and immature of her to freeze him out like that, especially when he too is suffering from the loss of their baby.

elbs how can you say you don't like yu-jin she's the one person in all of this who deserves any sympathy. their is more I would like to say but there are others who are able to express themselves better than I,who will defend yu-jin far more succinctly than I can.

It occurs to me that the reason this grannie seems insane is that her part is poorly written. In scene (a), she's sitting on the couch, cursing her "bad timing" in the miscarriage; in scene (b), she's abjectly sorry to Soon-young for her "lack of virtue." How the heck did she get from (a) to (b)? We should have seen that, in some way. I done told ya: the spirit of Granpa Oh "moves" in mysterious ways. ;D

Actually, there was another scene (maybe two?) before she talked to Soon-young. The first one was after she left the hospital and went to HK's aunt's (Myoung-Joo?) office. There they talked about the miscarriage and grannie went on about how it was her fault and so on. Myoung Joo said that she in part was responsible as well. (I forget the exact wording, but I think it was along the lines of being too harsh with Yujin). Then InHwan when scolded her(pretty harshly, although it was deserved), I *think* she said something again to the effect that she was sorry. Then the scene with Soon-Young occurred with her "lack of virtue" discussion. (Anyone correct me if I'm wrong!)
Also, the scene where Myoung Joo (again, I'm terrible with names, this the HK's aunt, right?) talks with Yujin while she's in bed (at her parents house) was interesting. She actually looked uncomfortable with what Yujin was saying about "Isn't this what you wanted? Is this enough for you?"
Wow...powerful scenes - Yujin did some great acting. I think these were some of the best acted scenes of the show - that I've seen.....Before people start disagreeing with me, realize I've missed a show here and there! LOL

I loved how both Yu-jin and Mal-bong told Myun-joo "Isn't this what you wanted" right to her face! It seemed like such a breach of etiquette, but it was refreshing to see someone call Myun-joo on her actions instead of bringing her tea and asking her to stay for dinner! I think Elbs is a few eps. behind us, and Yu-jin was pretty cold towards our darling Min-jae at that time. She might not hate YJ as much when she finds out just why YJ felt she had to leave MJ (I won't spoil it for ya, but it was pretty noble, in my opinion). But Yu-jin really loves Min-jae a lot. It's so sweet!
