What will you be watching after you finish watching this series?
Koryo-Khitan War won't be starting until November or next year.

Funny you should ask, that just occurred to me the other day. Geez it's been four years with EWG, like high school! But yeah it's coming to an end soon.
I haven't seen AOW but I'll leave that for another time. Right now there doesn't seem to be a good place online to watch it anyway.
I do remember there's a series with Im Ho playing Sado and I think it's on YouTube. It's not very long and it would be perfect for the gap before the new one starts. But I seem to remember that the final episode is missing. So that wouldn't work.
Also isn't that series King and Queen online someplace with subs? That one is way long but if it's good (Is it?) we could think about that.
I haven't scouted around to see what's available. I'll start doing that. And if you guys have any suggestions, something you'd like to watch, please do speak up!

I so, so wish Tears of the Dragon was subbed.

Maybe you can try Mr. Sunshine on Netflix although it isn't a traditional historical.

The moment somebody subs Tears of the Dragon, everything else here stops. Promise.
Maybe Mr. Sunshine...I don't have a Netflix subscription right now but if there's nothing else that makes sense then I wouldn't be opposed to watching it.
Actually the most logical thing to do is keep with the timeline and watch Dawn of the Empire. Apparently that one isn't as good as EWG but it would make sense to try it. But I don't think it's available anywhere.
I've been real busy the last few weeks but I'll take some time in the next week or two and look around and see what's available.

King and Queen only has Episode 1 fully subbed as far as I know - and even then I don't know where to find it... but Jang Hee Bin '95 is fully subbed! I don't know any other dramas that old that are fully subbed.
Edit: Im Kkeok Jeong is fully subbed too, that makes four (?) pre-2000 historicals that are fully subbed.

I'd say Sado the film is better

Thanks for digging up that link--knov1 dug it up a while ago and I forgot about it. The series in on DramaCool but it's always better if it's on something without popups.
I started to watch the Sado movie and was very impressed with it. For some reason I forgot to finish it; I'll definitely go back and watch the rest of it.
We can watch all three of these series if you guys are interested. The other two are on DramaCool if they're not also on YouTube or someplace else better. JHB is 63 episodes and IKJ is 44, both longer than KOTW but not too bad. (And Sean what's the fourth?)
Really I'd like to find things that you guys haven't seen yet so you have something fresh to you...but it seems like you've all seen everything already! But we can certainly do these three if nothing more appealing comes along.
p.s. Looked on Kocowa and found nothing good that we haven't already watched here. That thing is very disappointing--there are so many good series that they could be putting up but haven't. Also am going through DramaCool but that takes longer, and a lot of the good stuff there is unsubbed.

Could you write out what the four drama choices are? I'm a little confused.

Could you write out what the four drama choices are? I'm a little confused. No problem! The oldest fully subbed historicals, as far as I know: Edit - I missed one actually so make that five:
- Eyes of Dawn (MBC, 1991)
- Jang Hee Bin (SBS, 1995)
- Im Kkeok Jeong (SBS, 1996)
- King's Pathway/King of the Wind (MBC, 1998)
- Heo Jun (MBC, 1999)

Eyes of Dawn takes place from Japanese occupation era to Korean War. The series is too old for my taste so I havenβt watched it. I can watch movies that are this old like Generalβs Son or Taebaek Mountain but personally donβt really like dramas that are this old. Oldest drama that I recently watched was Seoul 1945(2006 drama) which also covers Japanese occupation era to Korean War.
