Mitsunari was actually a young pretty boy, however the Japanese themselves always depict him as older in their own dramas. Shun Oguri in Tenchijin has been the only realistic Mitsunari . Ah, Tenchijin. My first Japanese historical drama. Mitsunari was kind of cute.

According to a press conference: 1.Lee Soon Shin has not yet been cast. 2.The drama will be the focus of intensive ground warfare.(Importance of Lee Soon Shin is not high despite the fact he's a major player in the conflict) 3.EP.12 The War begins. There's othe info but for spoiler-esque reasons I'm refraining.

Yes, thanks for that. Anything about future episodes not aired in North America is off limits here. Even number 3 counts, but I'll let that one go.

So you can watch the episodes with eng. subtitles? I'm not in the U.S. and sadly this drama is nowhere to be found (only with chinese subs.) I like to translate things but chinese is really confusing.

BTW, the reason they changed the writer is because the original writer wanted to co-star Yi Soon Shin with RSR as the lead character, but KBS didn't like that direction because they wanted to differentiate the drama from IYSS. It turned out that another reason they changed the writer was because the original writer wanted to do all that same old blood brother story thing for Ryu Seong Ryong and Yi Soon Shin as well as turning Ryu Seong Ryong into some kind of a Robin Hood kind of guy. He was the writer of Baek Dong Su after all lol. Good thing they changed the writer. Turns out yet another reason they changed the writer was because the original writer also wanted Seonjo to be Ryu Seong Ryong's blood brother. Good thing they got rid of this guy.

Got rid of him? I hope they banned him for life! Ugh, that's horrible.
Yes animerika, KBS provides English subtitles for most of the shows that it airs in North America. They've been doing it for a long time. I'm not Korean and most of the people who have joined this forum over the years aren't Korean either. It was the subtitles that first got us watching their shows. I'm sorry to hear you don't have better subtitles for your own viewing. Are you in China?

I'm in Latin America, I only have Arirang (they were airing The King and I), but I don't have KBS so I'll have to wait for this. I was searching for this, I thought some fansub would be working on it, but I guess it's not interesting enough for them, so I only found it in Todou with chinese subs.

So, I'm searching back and back to find out what terrible thing this guy did and I see what he did was want to use the old blood-brother gambit. You guys are a tough room. Not that he shouldn't be banned for life. LOL.

Of course he's been in a bunch of the KBS historicals we've featured here and done real good work in all of them...but I hope they can leave YSS out of this one entirely. Won't be easy but hopefully they can write around it. IYSS is casting its shadow on this series already just by the subject matter. I like the producers' intention to tell other parts of the war story.
