Well, mikey, I got up this morning just to make sure the VCR was recording properly...and I'm looking at a bunch of dolphins and there's no Jeong Dojeon. And yet here's a screenshot of the KBS World schedule page from right now (click on it to see full size): ...showing Jeong Dojeon on the air. So I have no idea what's going on. But no Jeong Dojeon for us. Obviously I've passed along incorrect information and I apologize for that. Hope you went back to bed! I'm going to as well. So right now, the bad news is, we have no clue about when this thing starts airing in North America. The good news is, maybe this means we'll get the show at a more reasonable time slot. The new printed schedule on the KBS America site will come out in a day or two and I'll post what I find on it as soon as it comes out. You'd think KBS World would have accurate information on its own website. What can I say.

Yeah this is the first time since we started getting the KBS World SF/Bay Area feed that we're not getting what they advertise on their site & YT channel. I guess we should have known something was up because it doesn't appear on the KBS America schedule. I guess we'll have to wait until it does.

Yeah, I got to see the dolphins too. Oh well, I ordinarily get up at 6:00am anyway for work, so it wasn't that much of an ordeal getting up one-half hour earlier than usual on Saturday. On the bright side ... maybe this means that it'll actually be airing at a more civilized time? We can only hope!

KBS America added Jeong Dojeon to their site under new programs but don't give a date or time for the show. They haven't updated their schedule for the week either.

Yeah, I was checking 24.7 repeatedly today to make sure they didn't slip Episode 1 by us without our knowing about it. Maybe they're off work for the holiday today...but still they should have current schedules up! Hopefully tomorrow.

The new schedules were posted this morning and no sign of Jeong Dojeon starting yet. I've e-mailed KBS America and asked for a starting date.

I'm a little confused about the use of the surname for LSG's clan: "Lee". In all the previous shows I've seen, it's been described as "Yi".
In GKS, Sejong's pre-royal name was "Yi Do". it was explained that his father was "Yi Bangwon".
In Age of Warriors (and I'm really dating myself), when General Yi Ui Bang (sp? the same actor that portrayed Choi Yeong in this series) was killed, it was explained that although they also killed off most of his family, they missed a few, and that Koryo would regret it, as one of their descendants (Yi Songgye) would eventually overthrow Koryo and establish Joseon.
What gives?

What gives? It all depends on how the translator decide on romanization. During Joseon dynasty, the correct way to read the name was Lee. Today, North Korea still reads it Lee while South Korea reads it Yi. Both Lee and Yi are correct in English.

I just watched the last episode as well, which was a very good episode.
Overall, this was my favorite sageuk of all time.
I can't believe I have to wait for 5 months until the next historical. Darn it.

Thank you both for your silence! hahahaha I appreciate it. We're getting closer to the end here in the US too; 45 and 46 are airing this weekend so seven more weeks. I'll start an opinion thread when it ends so you guys can tell me what you thought of it.
