I don't know if he's innocent or guilty, but denying everything and then quitting your career and running away sure doesn't look good.

If the patterns of recent news and scandals are any indication, he's probably guilty.

On his accpetance speech after winning the Grand Award at the 2018 KBS Drama Awards, Yu Donggeun(Lee Seonggye in KBS Jeong Dojeon) criticized KBS's decision to stop producing traditional historicals and pleaded KBS to start making traditinal historicals again.
I completely agree with him.

Great to hear that! Glad he brought it up.
I never understood this because the ratings for JD were very good, certainly more than enough to show there's still interest in traditional historicals. They can't even do one a year? Geez just give us one good one a year, that's not too much to ask.

Jingbirok and Jang Youngshil didn't do as well, I'm assuming.

Jingbirok and Jang Youngshil didn't do as well, I'm assuming. Jingbirok actually did pretty well. Not as well as Jeong Dojeon, but still good enough. It was Jang Youngshil that failed.

I completely agree with him. Choi Sujong said the same thing in his interview today.

Well sure HE'S going to say that, he's in every one of them so it's put a big dent in his income!
Anyway I'm glad people are speaking out about this. Especially since the networks aren't even making the older ones available for streaming. I don't think they're intentionally trying to create demand but there certainly will be some buzz when they finally make the next one.

Well sure HE'S going to say that, he's in every one of them so it's put a big dent in his income! You could say the same for Yu Donggeun(Lee Seonggye in KBS Jeong Dojeon) as well lol. Plus not many actors on their prime really want to do traditional historicals as I said before, so the directors have no choice but to turn to Choi Sujong and Yu Donggeun when they are making traditional historicals. I don't think we're getting a new traditional historical drama anytime soon, so why don't you try substitutes? KBS Imjin War 1592 is one example. It's only 5 episodes. If you don't want to watch it because of Choi Sujong, then there are movie substitutes. The Throne(2015) The Fortress(2017) Are both traditional historical movies and they make a good break from all the fusion/fantasy/romance historical nonsense.

Oh I wouldn't avoid a series just because of CSJ--I just haven't been impressed by him. But if it's a good series, no problem. I do want to watch EWG, and very much want to see the Lady Hyegyeong series he was in.
Thanks for the suggestions; I'll keep them in mind. Actually the big problem is that so little is available these days, online or on TV. Especially here in Chicago. It's getting very frustrating. Starting to think about what we might do here after Geunchogo ends and there aren't a lot of options unless we do a whole series on Dramacool which isn't ideal. Viki and Kocowa both have very little and none of it is appealing. Dramacool has a couple of fantastic choices, but it's unlicensed, the feed can be erratic, and the pop-ups get very irritating.

The Throne is on Netflix and you can watch Fortress on Youtube Movies. As for the series after Geunchogo, maybe you can try Mr. Sunshine? It's on Netflix so it's easily accessible. It's not a traditional historical and the main characters are fictional, but it's a solid series. There's a reason why this drama had one of the highest ratings last year.
