This is a new historical which takes place during the end of Three Kingdom period. Although this drama starts 2 months later, I decided to start a thread to post character introductions. Keep in mind that character and story directions could always change.
Gyebaek(died 660), who will be played by Lee Suh Jin, was a general in the ancient Korean kingdom of Baekje during the early to mid 7th century. Little else is known of his personal life—including the year and location of his birth. He killed his wife and family to prevent them from falling into the hands of Tang-Shilla alliance and to prevent the thought of them to influence his actions or cause him to falter in battle. He was 1 of the 3 Last Loyal Subjects of Baekjae. According to some sources, his real name was Buyeo Seung, which indicates that he was from the royal family.

King Uija (died 660, r. 641-660) was the 31st and final ruler of Baekje, one of the Three Kingdoms of Korea. His reign ended when Baekje was conquered by the alliance of the rival Korean kingdom Silla and China's Tang Dynasty. According to legend, he was the son of the main heroes of SBS Seo Dongyo, King Mu(Buyeo Jang) and Princess Seonhwa.

Queen Sataek was the mother of King Uija and the 1st wife of King Mu in real history. However, this drama will follow the legend and make King Uija as the son of Seonhwa. In the drama, Queen Sataek will be opposing King Uija's succession of the throne just as the mother of evil brothers in King Geunchogo had done. She was the daughter of Minister Sataek Jukduk.
Eungo was the 1st wife of King Uija. In the drama, she will form a love triangle with Gyebaek.
Choyoung - Gyebaek's wife. She is a fictional character, but I would consider her real if her surname is Buyeo in the drama. Gyebaek's wife in real history was Princess Yeha, who descended from King Geunchogo.
Buyeo Sung Choong(died 656) - He will be played by Jeon Nohmin(who played Mishil's boyfriend Sulwon in QSD). 1 of the 3 Last Loyal Subjects of Baekjae along with Gyebaek and Heung Soo. He predicted the invasion of Shilla-Tang alliance. In this drama, he'll be the teacher of Gyebaek.
Heung Soo - 1 of the 3 Last Loyal Subjects of Baekjae.
King Mu - King Uija's father. According to legend, he married Princess Seonhwa of Shilla.
Mujin - Gyebaek's father(whose real name is not known). He is the bodyguard of Princess Seonhwa and King Uija in the drama.
Mungeun - A fictional charachter and Gyebaek's stepbrother.
Queen Seonhwa - King Uija's mother in the drama. According to legend, she married King Mu. She is just a character in a folktale and she did not exist in real history.
Kim Choon Chu, or King Taejong Muyeol(602-661, r. 654-661) - was the 29th monarch of the southern Korean kingdom of Shilla. He is credited for leading the unification of the Three Kingdoms of Korea. He was a childhood friend of Kim Yusin, who eventually became his brother-in-law after he married the latter's sister. He was played by Yu Seung Ho in QSD. This drama follows the legend of Seo Dongyo, therefore he would be King Uija's cousin and Queen Seonhwa's nephew in the drama.

Kim Yushin(595-673) - was a general in 7th-century Shilla. He led the unification of the Korean peninsula by Shilla under the reign of King Muyeol of Shilla and King Munmu of Shilla. He is said to have been the great-grandchild of King Guhae of Geumgwan Gaya, the last ruler of the Geumgwan Gaya state. He was played by Uhm Tae Woong in QSD.
