These writers seriously need to get it together. Thanks truth.
@ DCY: So Gwaggaeto is a no then? Honestly am not so sure i want to watch that drama, i mean i've watched the great Baekje being built i don't think i want to see it being torn down. I guess after watching it for months i've grown attached to Baekje! lol!

Annette Ill deconstruct it bit by bit (1)Lead Actor looks way too old and seems bored and wooden .
(2)Ep 1 was like a hybrid of the Ansei Fortress Seige from DJY (Nothing wrong with that that was the best part of that series )crossed with Empress complete with G TO (for want of a better nickname ) falling into water sinking than rising and being captured . (3)With little in the way of plot it just seemed a strung together collection of Sageuk Greatest Hits .
Not all bad news KBS have a new drama set in Joseon about the tragic affair of King Sejo's daughter .

Hey DYC,
Wasn't really keen on Gwaggaeto so not disappointed. I get excited whenever i hear any news concerning sageuks ;D So when is this drama hitting the airwaves and what's it called? My Josean history's not much, i only know from King Sukjong to Jeongjo. How far away is Sejo? Am guessin he comes way before Sukjong, right?

Sejo was the 7th king of Joseon and a son of King Sejong.

Sejo comes almost after Sejong ,give or take a little murder followed by mass executions Anyway the new drama airs right after Romance Town ends .

I'm not gonna watch this drama, since I'm not a big fan of historical drama that focuses on romance.

Its more than that the story has ghosts ,murder, bloodshed so it should be really good

In episode I think 51, what ever happened to the BRATTY daughter who abused her husband and he fled to Goryuoer (sp)? Was that part of King Geunchogo plan, ot lear their strategy? Did someone poison her?

Did someone poison her? She didn't get poisoned. The daughter slapping the husband wasn't part of the Geunchogo's plan, but Sa Gi fleeing to Goguryeo was. That was one of the few historical facts in this drama.

Hey guys, There's a new Sageuk out called Warrior Baek Dong Soo which started after Lie To Me. Its based around the time of King Jeongjo and his father Price Sado, when he had been closed/shut in the box (or whatever it was) by his father Yeongjo. Not really sure why am explaining all these details cos am sure you're aware of all this. Anywho, just wanted to know if any of you guys are also watching. Have seen a couple of reviews from people who've seen the raw eps and they said its good but i think i'll resist the temptation and wait till the subs are out. After the disappointment that is The Duo am trying to have low expectations so i don't get disappointed.

Yes Baek Dong Soo is meant to be a comedy and its popularity is because Ji Changwon aka Donghae is in it .
I actually really like Geunchogo despite the historical jiggery ,the core of the story seems to be his trying to prevent his sons following in the path of he and his brothers . Its devoid of sillyness so far .

Finally finished KG I am ok with it but the writers shouldn't have done the premature baby/ first wife/2nd queen thing. The good thing is that the two brothers did not fight and repeat history

I also did really enjoy Geunchogo and i miss it already. Even though he was trying to prevent his sons ending up like him and his brothers, i felt like he was still making the same mistake that his father did in choosing Yeogeun instead of Yeogusu as the crown prince. Just like Yeogu was better suited to be king than Yeochan, Yeogusu also was the one who should have been, but because Yeogu had "groomed" Yeogeun to be king and Yeogu has made a promise to his mother, Yeogeun was crown prince. This is exactly what happened to Yeogu and his brother and Yeogu was doing the exact same thing. The only difference is that Yeogeun himself realized that his brother should be king and gave up the throne - which i should point out should not have been his. And to tip the scales even more in Yeogusu's favor, he had both King Chogo and King Goi's bloodlines!
I heard the role of the villain in Warrior Baek Dong Soo is goin to steal the show that's why Yoo Seung Ho chose it instead of playing the good guy.

I just hope you don't think what happened at the end of the drama is real history. Yeogeun and Yeogusu are not real people. King Geungusu's real name was Su and he had nothing to do with King Goi's bloodline. His mother was from the Jin clan.
