Min Woo (Jo Hyun Jae)
Moo Young (Jeon Jin)
Shi Yeon (Kim Tae Hee)
Chae Yi (Han Ye Seul)
Drama/Story
This is a drama about 2 races, the humans & the "fox" clan. They've been at war for as long as they've both existed. The "fox" clan are stronger and better at martial arts. In order to defend themselves, the humans have specially trained officers called the SICS (Special Intelligence Corps).
Min Woo is a SICS officer who falls in love with Shi Yeon who's of the fox clan. As one of the fox, Shi Yeon does what she has to do but she wishes for peace between the humans and the fox clan. Min Woo & Shi Yeon are childhood friends. However, she think that he's dead. Moo Young is the lead hunter and future leader of the fox clan. He's in love with Shi Yeon but she's in love with Min Woo. When Moo Young finds out that Shi Yeon is in love with Min Woo (a human), he wants to wipe out all the humans. Moo Young is actually the first to find out who Min Woo is (that he's related to Shi Yeon's past etc.). Chae Yi is another member of the fox clan. She doesn't like Shi Yeon. Chae Yi's the really bad character in the drama. She's in love with Moo Young and will do anything he asks her to do.
This is basically a modern day version of Romeo & Juliet or West Side Story with a few twists.
About the cast
Jo Hyun Jae is the actor who played the role of Andrea in MBC Love Letter. Kim Tae Hee worked in SBS Stairway to Heaven earlier this year. Jeon Jin is a member of Shinhwa (same group as Eric from MBC Phoenix). Jung Ui Gap is the actor who played the role of Yu Uin Min's (The Archfiend) 2nd son in the The Age of Warriors.
This is one of the most creative ideas for a drama that I've seen in a long time. Like Damo, this is the kind of storyline that you're more likely to see in a movie. Will this drama air in Chicago? Probably not.
