Hello, Kiparang and others.
Kiparang, you were very generous to that Jasmine woman. When she posts here she is practically dripping with venom, you know. I hope she is not typical of LYA fans. LOL ;D

Hi Christine. I don't think Jasmine is a typical LYA fan. I know several LYA fans, and they are all gentle and nice. Jenny

Hi Kiparang. Of course I'm not offended, I agree with you, that was not the best looking picture of KHJ at all. I admit that in that private little directory on my laptop, there is not one single picture of KHJ without JJH in it, and the one I posted was the best one I found ; I also really wanted to show that chemistry that I was talking about.. they seemed to have alot of fun together, even off camera. I think a while back you've said how they have similiar personalities, down to earth, genuine, hardworking and fun. Those are just qualities I like in people in general. But then, I also think beauty really is in the eyes of the beholder. Some people may like a more formal type of person, a bit high on a pedestral type, especially in a celebrity. I understand that, it's fine with me. Actually, I wonder if my own indifference to LYA had to do with the role of DJG. I wonder if the role just wore me out. Anyone know what I mean? Thanks to Eva, who improved greatly on what I posted! Yes. KHJ is gorgeous, and very natural.

Hello, everybody Lifan, in connection with KHJ picture, I knew your intention was honorable. Come to think of it, you could see the chemistry between KHJ and JJH so clearly in the picture. These two people are rarity in the Korean entertainment scene (or any entertainment scene, for that matter): a real and down-to-earth people, who do not try to cultivate a public persona which is more liking to the general public, and thus will bring in million bucks more in endorsement and movie deals. Thanks.

This is ridiculous. Why do you people here Kiparang this, Kiparang that? Why do you people ooh and aah over every word he says? Is he some rock star or a Korean movie star? As far as I know, he is some middle-aged Korean guy obsessed with Kim Hyun-joo (Who the hell is she, anyway?) and trying to promote her at the expense of my baby Young-ae. Shame on you all.

Please calm down, Liz. Right now Kiparang is the most interesting Korean. Period. That includes Ji Jin Hee and Bae Yong Joon. Because he is here and thus TANGIBLE. Not like many Korean stars to whom we are invisible. He is an extremely intelligent, witty and fun guy. He is a globetrotter and he speaks EIGHT languages. And he says he has(or had) movie-star good looks. He talks to us nearly every day although he is a very busy person.
Now if you got that, go away and don't bother us. PLEASE.

How does this Kiparang person dare to compare what's-her-name to my baby Young-ae? Lee Young-ae is the best thing that has ever happened to Korean Wave. And don't you ever forget that.

Christine, it seems that a lot of LYA fans are lurking here, ready to pounce on Kiparang and other pro-KHJ people. I think we'd better prepare for their daily attack. What do you think? ;D

Let them come, seoulsearcher. It's fun in a way to watch their boiling rage. What would they have done if there had been no Daejanggeum and LYA? Or better still if KHJ had accepted the Janggeum role? LOL ;D

My God, another minor war during my absence! I am not saying anything bad about LYA, and they still keep coming and pounce on this thread. Thank you, Christine. I really appreciate what you said about me a while ago. But I am not a movie star and have somewhat lost good looks of my youth. You will probably be disappointed if we ever meet. I also thank you, Seoulsearcher. Christine, besides KHJ and Son Ye-jin, I love Choi Ji-woo. You could say that she is my distant third favorite. Choi Ji-woo starred in "Winter Sonata." "Beautiful Days." and "The Stairway to Heaven." But I loved her most in "Mr. Duke," a delightful romantic comedy, in which she plays the role of an Oxford-educated beautiful daughter of a tycoon, who unexpectedly falls in love with a water delivery man. She is really princess-like in this drama. I also love CJW's personality. She is a really, really nice person. Fellow cast and crew members simply adore her. Another K-actress I am currently interested in is Ha Ji-won, who delivered so memorable performance in the historical fantasy drama "Damo." I am looking forward to watching her current drama "Hwang Ji-ni." Hwang Ji-ni is the name of a famous kisaeng/poet, and a free spirit like me. She is my absolute favorite female figure in the whole Korean history. As for actors, my favorite is Ji Jin-hee. But you guys probably know more about him than I.

Kiparang, I loved Choi Ji-woo in "Winter Sonata" but did not like her in "The Staiway to Heaven." She cried too much in that drama. I will watch "Mr. Duke" since you recommend it so highly. By the way, I think we should thank Lifan and Eva for the lovely pictures of KHJ they uploaded. Jenny

Get "Mr. Duke," Jenny. You won't regret it. Today, I will talk about the rest of the principal characters of "Glass Slippers." Besides KHJ, GS has two more principal female charaters: Tae-hee, Sun-woo's elder sister and Seung-hee, the daughter of Sun-woo's adopted family. Tae-hee has been searching desperately for her sister for 16 years but does not recognize her when she joins her department as a contract worker. She is a big-hearted person and treats Sun-woo very fairly, even while agonizing over her de-facto fiance and Sun-woo falling in love with each other before her very eyes. The role is superbly played by Kim Ji-ho. Seung-hee(played by Kim Min-sun) is an evil and scheming character who will do anything(I mean, anything) to realize her ambition. Her plan to present herself as the tycoon's long lost granddaughter and what unfolds next are some of the drama's most thrilling moments. After watching the drama, I have been wondering who is the greatest villainess of the all the K-dramas I have seen. Seung-hee or Young-mi, "All about Eve's" evil female anchor, or Choi Ji-woo's stepmother in "The Stairway to Heaven?" I still have not reached conclusion.

Thanks, Kiparang, for your comments on your favorite actresses and remaining characters of "Glass Slippers." As for Choi Ji-woo shows, I still haven't seen "Winter Sonata," which everybody says is a must-see drama. So I think I will watch whatever I can get hold of first: "Mr. Duke" or "Winter Sonata." It's quiet around here. Is another attack from the LYA camp imminent? Christine

Jasmine (and other LYA fans out there): You are, of course, free to come here and post. Especially, since this board is about KHJ vs. LYA. But we should never raise our voice, but try to be civil to each other always, even if we are of different opinion. After all, we are all here because of our common love of Korean Wave. hey kiparang... actually, making a word in all caps does not mean shouting.. it's another way of emhasizing a word... peace! and we already know that we are free to post messages here... as long as we abide by the rules.. and people, may i remind you that this thread is about LYA and KJH, and not kiparang.. LOL... but i am acknowledging his contribution to the threads created here... and reminders also... this is "THE" "The Great Dae Janggeum" forum...(Read above)... so anyone who says "LYA fans are lurking anywhere here".. i think thats natural... just reminders for all people...
