Thanks for joining us, Sophie! Welcome!
I really appreciate your links to the pictures. Do you happen to know of any more of General Min or the queens in different period dress?
Cheers,

Awesome images! I heard DJG was Ji Jin Hee's first period drama, although he's a veteran of modern dramas.Quite a few of my girlfriends swear they never looked at him twice in Love Letter, but nowadays they would only go to bed with him (in DJG, of course ) at night ;D (the show airs here from 9:30 ~ 10:30 which is bedtime for most of us who have got 2 get up at 4 2b @ work at 8). Must be something about the facial hair, ultra-sympathetic character, and of course, the full Minister's robe on whose chest JG cries on!

sophie u r wonderful!!!!! yeoin cheonha was one of the best dramas i've ever seen.i still think taejo wang guhn is the best b/c that's the first one i ever saw. (& i love choi su-jong ;D).the actors were mesmerizing.i loved choonja mamma(jung in hwa),her battles w/ kyung-bin (do ji won) were what made the show.now, she's who i would love to be when i grow up ;D ;D ;D!!!! i know everyone loved kang soo yeon but, nan-jung worked b/c of her relationship w/ the queen & her hubby(no one plays a "bad guy" like lee duk hwa). ur going to have me to a point where i'll never leave this site!!!! taedan-hi gamsa hamnida. aju ch'injol-hashi-gunyo i hope i wrote those correctly.
C you are very welcome~! when yoin chonha was on air i was in canada and i saw it through inter net! personaly i love historycal story... because i love their clothings!

Oh Yes--the costumes and the ladies' hairdos (up-braid, downbraid, red pillow, purple pillow, etc. ;D). I think that's the real appeal of the period drama--the pomp, pageantry, and circumstance. It's like watching an opera--visuals play as important a role as the plot and/or music.

Thank you Choko for the link! Much appreciated!!! I agree w/jacques' friends that he's better looking with the beard and possibly b/c of the character-- what a heart-throb! Seems like he's also played a bad boy (that one pic w/him looking in a mirror and smoking a cigarette holding a gun AND a knife zijinhee.com.ne.kr/6.jpg ) But I did find this picture quite fetching imagebingo.naver.com/album/image_view.htm?uid=govlwhdk88&bno=29448&nid=7555&page=6I also love the queen's (all the queens from all the dramas) costumes and hairstyles are just breathtaking. I love the way they look. Although the feminist in me does have conflicting feelings about the whole thing, it is fascinating. Thanks again!

Hey Catalpa, I forwarded your link to my local Ji Jin Hee fan club (can u hear da color printers whirring? ;D). As for your inner feminist, no need 2 feel conflict--think of it as a hair-em revolution!

Plan on going for the whole hog, eh? ;D Hey, speaking of pork--does anyone remember seeing any of the dishes contained pork? Wild boar? I can't remember, and for some reason, it's bothering me. Because they seemed to consume everything. Bo

WOW! Catalpa, you are the best! I thought I liked Sir Min, but the actor who plays him is even more gorgeous in modern dress. I love him in the black tee shirt with his hair all spiky. It seems like a lot of young Korean men wear their hair that way, and I really like it. Now, I'm going to make my request for pictures and news of actors. First of all, Choi Sul-jong, who I know Jacques also likes: I loved him in "On the Green Prairie," and I know he is happily married to a very cute actress, Ha Hee Ra (I think that's her name). Also, what about Min-jae from "One Million Roses"? I think he is just adorable. Lucy Lucy
