This guy is too much! He harrasses JY endlessly, browbeats his son, takes to stalking JY to find out where she lives, approaches JM without parental supervision, tries to con YJ's grandmother to let him visit with JM, and now, apparently (from the preview for tonite, Monday 10/27) he barges into her house and blurts out even more!
This is all about satisfying his impulses -- hang the consequences to anyone else, particularly a 5-year old boy.
He really is the ultimate narcissist. His chosen profession? An actor, and even though not good at it, persists in seeing himself as a star. His obsession with bringing "healthy" foods to a pregnant MJ? His insistence that he knows best what's good for her; better even than a doctor or mother figure -- and all to ensure his line is carried forth. It's as if to say that his line is more important than MJ's health, or even family line. When she loses the baby he hangs on to that turtle as a selfish rebuke to both MJ and SM as in, "See what you've done to me? I will only have a turtle for a grandson!" Never is it sorrow for MJ's loss, or SM's loss, but only about how it affects him. He's so concerned only with his well-being that he marries a woman who's been his house-keeper, simply to ensure he's looked after in his old age. (I am making this assumption because we really never saw any courting scenes that indicated that she was anything more than a convenience to him, never an object of affection.) He's so wrapped up in his cozy little mind set that even a darling little girl like Yuna can't interest him. Heart of stone, that one! And now, he wishes to put his interests, his desires, his will ahead of what will be best for another child.
He's just plain despicable.
Will there/can there be any sort of redemption for this jerk?
