Seoul is thrown into chaos with the loss of power. Hyuk Joo wants to take Ki Hyun in for the murder of Hyo Jung. He thinks Ki Hyun is lying about an attack on the power company. The cyber team doesn't have anyone to send over there since everyone else is dealing with the DDOS attack.
Ki Hyun manages to convince Hyk Joo somehow and they arrive at the electrical company. The Stuxnet virus was launched from a usb flash drive. In order to stop the Dae Young group, he needs to find their location. Ki Hyun works his magic and finds their real IP. They're at the Chunha PC Cafe. Kang Mi is the closest one there. She offers to go.
Ki Hyun needs to stop the attack within 10 minutes to avoid hospitals losing power and the deaths of patients. He gets to location of the C&C server from Woong Jin and launches a DDOS attack on Dae Young. This only shows them down temporarily as they switch to new IP's.
Kang Mi arrives at the Chunha PC Cafe. She finds it closed. The hackers are after the electric power automation system. It controls the power sent to local nuclear plants. If the system is shut down, it could cause a nuclear reactor to explode.
Kang Mi is able to stop the hackers by shutting off the power at the PC cafe. The attack on the electrical company has been stopped. By the time police arrive to backup Kang Mi, the hackers are gone.
Dae Young leader Dam Sa Myung managed to launch a final virus before Kang Mi shut off the power. It's destroying the electric power automation system. Ki Hyun steps in to stop the virus. He has a program to stop self-destruction. The attack has been stopped. The rest of the cyber team arrives on the scene. The Hades signature appears on the screen. Hyuk Joo arrests Ki Hyun.
Ki Hyun is brought in and questioned about being Hades. Director Jun and Hyuk Joo want to open an investigation on him but Director Shin won't allow it. Woong Jin uses CCTV footage from the power company attack to find out what password Ki Hyun used then. When switched to Korean letters, it matched the password for the Hades laptop. Based on the record logs, it's highly probably that Ki Hyun used the Hades laptop to hack So Eun's computer. Director Shin calls for a special meeting to decide if they'll launch an investigation against Ki Hyun.
Kang Mi informs Ki Hyun that the cyber team was able to get into the Hades laptop. If an investigation is launched, it's only a matter of time before the truth comes out. Ki Hyun responds that he'll have to tell them everything.
Ki Hyun is called in to the Directors meeting. They go through the evidence against Ki Hyun, including the hacking incident on So Eun's computer. Ki Hyun admits to hacking her computer. Ki Hyun asks Woong Jin to enter the password for the Hades laptop. He then gives Woong Jin the passwords for the C & D drives. Ki Hyun asks Sang Woo to get Ki Hyun's laptop from his office. He asks Woong Jin to use the same password for his work laptop. They all match. Ki Hyun explains that he attended the police academy with Ki Young. They knew each other better than anyone.
Seung Yeon investigates Woo Hyun and Ki Young's past. We get a flashback to Woo Hyun and Ki Young at the police academy. They were roommates and best of buds.
Back to the Directors meeting. Ki Hyun explains that their fascination with the Y2K & IH virus and their time spent together at the academy is why they had the same passwords. Hyuk Joo asks Ki Hyun about the Hades virus he used at the electrical company. Ki Hyun answers that he copied it off the Hades laptop to analyze it. When Hyuk Joo asks why he kept quiet about everything, Ki Hyun replies that he didn't say anything so he wouldn't be suspected. That, if he had to do it all over again, he'd do the same thing to stop a killer and a potential explosion at a nuclear plant. Before the Directors can vote on whether to investigate Ki Hyun or not, the police commissioner comes in to announce that Ki Hyun is getting an award for stopping the hacker attack. The case is closed.
Hyuk Joo asks Ki Hyun what Since 1999 is all about. Ki Hyun responds that 1999 is when he decided to join the cyber crimes squad. Seung Yeon learns that 1999 is also when Ki Young quit the police academy. No one knows why.
After the hacker attack, the stock market is down. The internet securities company Safe Tech is still doing well. They're merging with Sekang Securities.
Hyun Min visits the grave of Jo Kyung Moon. He died in 1999. Hyun Min then goes to Safe Tech. There he speaks with Yeom Jae Hee aka Vans Man. Jae Hee reports that numerous companies have been inquiring about cyber security. Hyun Min asks if the military has made any inquiries but Jae Hee says not yet. He also says that Dae Young ran into a skilled hacker during their attack. They believe it was Hades. He adds that Ki Hyun is credited with stopping the hackers and is receiving an award.
Ki Hyun receives an award for stopping the hackers. Everyone from the cyber team attends the ceremony. We see a female reporter named Goo Yeon Joo there.
Another flashback to Woo Hyun and Ki Young at the academy. Ki Young sends a virus to Woo Hyun's father, Kim Suk Jun, that allows him to view files and documents in his email. Ki Young finds and reads a top secret file about an investigation of Sekang group and political funds. Ki Young is arrested. Woo Hyun's father, Kim Suk Jun, asks Ki Young if he copied the file or showed it to anyone else. Ki Young realizes that the report he read was made up to cover up something bigger. Ki Young pleads with Suk Joon to tell the truth to no avail. Ki Young quits the police academy.
Back in current time, Ki Hyun receives his award. Hyuk Joo meets with Director Jun. Hyuk Joo suspects that Ki Hyun is really Ki Young. Director Jun tells Hyuk Joo that Woo Hyun (the real one) has another secret. He shows Hyuk Joo a file on a representative from the CK Company. He's the man being killed in the phantom video. Director Jun wants Hyuk Joo to find out how Woo Hyun is tied to his death.
Director Shin is meeting with Ki Hyun. Reporter Goo Yeon Joo walks in on their meeting. Director Shin's behavior would lead us to believe Yeon Joo and Woo Hyun know each other.
Kang Mi takes Ki Hyun home. He leaves his award in the car so Kang Mi chases after him. When Ki Hyun gets to his apartment, he finds Yeon Joo inside. He asks who she is and what she's doing there. Yeon Joo responds that they used to date. She got in because he hasn't changed his passcode. Yeon Joo runs into Kang Mi outside.
Yeon Joo calls Hyun Min. She told Ki Hyun they dated. He didn't seem to remember her. Hyun Min wonders if it's really that Ki Hyun lost his memory or if he's not really Woo Hyun.

We got a lot of bromance in this episode lol. They covered quite a bit of Ki Young's time at the academy. Maybe we'll get another flashback from Woo Hyun's perspective.
When Hyun Min visits Safe Tech, you see SmileGate on the wall in the background. SmileGate is the name of a Korean online gaming company.
If I understand correctly, Woo Hyun's father, Suk Joon, supposedly had uncovered a political slush fund at Sekang. That was made up to cover up for something else. Not sure what though.
