The Korean Remake of the Spanish drama Money Heist drops on Netflix on June 24th . The original Spanish drama ran 5 seasons and was pretty amazing due to the strong cast . The Korean version is expected to be one of Netflixβs biggest hits of the year .

Kinda bored tonight, so I started looking for Jo Si Jub's lastest drama, only to find out it in on Disney +. Oh well, I guess I should have expected it, to bad it's not on Netfix

Was going to watch the Bloody Heart premiere but 70 minute-episodes... I'm passing for now... I tried to watch and got as far as Ep2 .It was like The Moon Embraces The Sun meets Seven Days A Queen . I like Jang Hyeok, hes one of the better actors but he was phoning this one in . Interesting point was that it was a KBS drama that was sold to Disney. People kept talking about how violent is was, i actually saw nothing disturbing in the first two eps ,If anything the title was deceiving .

I watched the whole thing recently, and it definitely surpassed my expectations! Production reminded me of My Country, and the scale of the schemes reminds me of Ladies of the Palace (and not just because the time period is like an AU mix of Jungjong/Injong/Myeongjong). It's not exactly groundbreaking, but a nice watch nonetheless!

Oh well, I guess I should have expected it, to bad it's not on Netfix It's SJS but I'm hesitant to watch this since it's a lawyer/medical drama. I'll get around to it eventually. It took me 6 months to watch Snowdrop and over a year to watch Dark Hole. Nothing extraordinary but I liked it for what it was. It tries to be a darker/more political romance but it's a romance at its core.

m.news.nate.com/view/20221019n08289New romance sageuk "Mirage at the hour of the Pig (ν΄μμ μ 루)/"/Haeshi's Shinru(?) from JTBC is in the casting stage, with Kim Seon Ho as a possible lead. Based in King Sejong's time, the show's supposed to be a romance between Lee Hyang (future King Munjong) and a "mysterious woman who can see the future". If Kim Seon Ho joins his so-called "comeback project", it'll be his second sageuk since Hundred-Day Husband in 2018. Author Yun Yi Su, author of the original novel and Love in the Moonlight (2016), will be directly involved in the scriptwriting.

This season's round of unconfirmed rumors in the Naver sageuk forums: - The Goryeo-Khitan War's premiere date has been moved up to April~May 2023, with scriptwriter being King of Tears' writer Lee Jeong Woo. Currently facing a casting difficulty, as not many are auditioning.
- A drama named Oasis is set to premiere in the middle of next year, time period starting from the events of May 18th Gwangju protests in 1980.
- Both Hong Beom Do dramas are in stagnation, one of them feared to be canceled (Not the Partisan one).

Not many are auditioningβ¦. Wellβ¦ Thatβs concerningβ¦. Think I mentioned it before, but there's not much to gain for popular actors to be in a traditional historical. This is the reason why same pool of actors get cast over and over again. But if it's the same writer that wrote Taejong writing this, then I have a feeling that many people from the Taejong drama will be making their return. Lee Gwanggi(Jeong Dojeon in Taejong drama) will most likely return again in my opinion. He's like in almost every historical.

There is a season 2 of Arthdahl chronicles coming next year on Netflix . Also on Netflix ,another Japanese occupation drama called Song Of The Bandits is coming ,This one is set in the 1920βs . Kim Nam Gil stars .
A lot more dramas revolving around space missions and female assassins seem to be lined up on Netflix . No word on Kingdom but if Arthdal which was a flop is getting a second season Kingdom should be a no brainer .
Money Heist season 1 part 2 is coming . This flopped in South Korea because it was too close to the original Spanish version only the characters were not as interesting . This was already filmed back to back with the first part . No second season planned . It actually did very well on export so who knows ?
Meanwhile Netflix seem to think Gong Hyo Jin playing her usual one dimensional role as a rude quirky oddball (she has been doing this since Ruler Of Your Own World ) is going to be the next big thing .
Goryeo Vs Khitan . I must admit Iron Empress ruined that one for me . I hope this new drama can erase the memory of that .

I did like The Silent Sea.
I never liked the idea of doing a drama about Gojoseon. Some legends should just be told in a short verbal straightforward story

Didn't know where I should post this, so feel free to move it..... I watched a show on Netflix called "Korea #1" -- celebrities are going aroung learning from traditional Korean masters. In the first episode, they learn how to make the tiles that go on some of the historical buildings around Korea. I believe in the begining they say that the tiles still have to be made by hand because the buildings can't support factory made ones. Thought maybe some of you that watch historical dramas might like to see it.
