I think that will be the best soultion to the problem. It would be for the best and everyone would be happy. But in drama does not work that way.

But his lawyer already explained this to Young-joon. He can not adopt Ji-min. His bio. father would have to renounce all claim to him and agree to let him be adopted.

Unless there is a plot twist and Sang-min is not available to renouce his rights....such as his death. This is just a possibility. This would pave the way for YJ to adopt Ji-Min.

I'm not sure that even Sang-min's death -- unlikely an event as that would be (and at this point, I rather like the hitman idea suggested in another thread) -- would translate to a free and clear scenario for Ja-young. Not sure, but it's possible that in the event of his death, Sang-min's father would gain the right to claim a previously undeclared heir on the family registry. I know nothing of Korean law, of course, and could be totally off w/ this. But who can say that wouldn't be the case? It seems like the type of law Korea would have, given all this other stuff we've learned this past week.
