Remember this cute little girl? She was terrific as little Jang-geum. As much as I liked Lee Young-ae in Dae Jang Geum, I was sad to see the little girl go. How's she doing lately though? I learned that she had a minor role in the drama "The King and I" (is a drama about a eunuch interesting? Doesn't seem so).

Actually, I'm watching King and I and it's very, very good. Excellent, in fact. It doesn't just cover the eunuchs (and, yes, they have interesting stories!), it also covers the royals and the court ladies.
Jo Eung-eun, if I remember correctly, plays a little girl who wants to become a court lady so she can sleep with the king (she's, like, 10 years old). She's quite a disconcerting character--not just to the watcher, but to the other court ladies and her family and their friends. LOL. A very talented child actor.

PS - looks like someone didn't like you linking to their photo. Better clear that up. ;D

Am I reading this correctly? A little girl who wants to sleep with the king? I think I'm gonna get sick.
That's discomforting considering that she played an innocent curious bright eyed little girl. And she's so cute....
But even so, it shows us she is that good an actress. To play a innocent adorable little girl, and a disturbing one as well. Brrr....

Don't get too upset dramafever, she plans to sleep with the King when she gets old enough to do so.

Yeah, sorry, it's just the fact she's TALKING about it that freaks everyone out.
She does it very well.
gpaul, are you watching King and I? What do you think?

Either way, its creepy to me. Wouldn't you be freaked out if a little girl told you directly she plans to sleep with someone high up? If a little girl in real life told that to me (though its an unlikely scenario), I would think about calling the asylum.
Any sources in which I can find The King and I?

Unfortunately, dramafever, I cannot find it anywhere on line for viewing. Veoh doesn't, nor do Crunchyroll or other, maybe less trustworthy, sites I know of. Here is dramafever.com's info page: King and IAs you can see, it's "not yet available"--since the drama is from 2008, I don't know why not, unless the production company is doing well enough from DVD sales and does not want to release it yet. Anyone else know? Korean Drama Group has an extensive lending library, but I don't know if they have this particular drama. Dig around that site and see what you can find out, but I warn you, it's a much larger and more complicated website than we have here. Or, you can contact OUR member mtlandis, who is the founder of that website and should be able to tell you how to join and use their library. Bo

Recently, I hear that she's going to be in the drama succeeding Cinderella's Sister, "King of Baking, Kim Tak Goo", when she plays the child version of Eugene's (yeach, that's the adult actress' name) character

LOL, df. It seems many Korean girls who are named "Yu-jin" like to use "Eugene" as the American equivalent. It's disconcerting, but apparently a good guide to pronunciation.
