Daepung tells his dad that Boksil's leaving. He says that, until now, lots of women dumped him, and he never cared. But, Boksil, he says, is different.
Dad is upset that Daepung blew it again. Dad likes Boskil, and he had hoped that they could get married. But, is it too late now?

It's the Korean Thanksgiving, and Suhui takes Baby Hana and goes off to see her mother. She doesn't tell the family she's leaving, though - making it seem like she might be leaving for good.
At the Korean Thanksgiving memorial service, Daepung is a no-show. He's having dinner with Boksil at her father's house. Most of the family is upset, but not dad. He knows he's spending Thanksgiving with Boksil.
Daepung tells Boksil that he didn't want Boksil to be all alone on Thanksgiving night. She seems to be appreciative. And, the next morning, he even makes breakfast for her. It's a nice effort on Daepung's part. It's not enough to sway her, but she does come away from it feeling less angry towards him.

Sujin - trying to be the perfect DIL - presents her new MIL with an expensive gift, telling her it's from her brother Bruce. But Bruce (aka "Brutus") is bringing the kids to Aunt's house for Thanksgiving, and he's carrying his own gifts. When he presents his own gifts, MIL senses that Sujin was lying to her (again).
Poor Sujin. She keeps trying so hard, and she only comes off looking the worse for it.
BTW: on the way there, Bruce ran (again) into Miran. They spend a few minutes antagonizing each other, and he ends up making her carry one of the gift boxes. Both seem hostile towards each other - but you can still see a few sparks flying. ;D

Meanwhile, Seonpung and his MIL are getting along famously. They're even taking art classes together. But, FIL is really getting ticked off at their too-cozy relationship, even suggesting to himself that he may send Seonpung back to his family's home.
And, when he enters the bedroom (MIL is sound asleep) and smells the odor from the oil paintings that she and Seonpung were working on, he get REALLY upset, and proceeds to take a paint-soaked brush, and smear brown paint over both paintings.
Naturally, MIL has a total fit when she awakens, and sees that the paintings have been vandalized.
Looks like FIL isn't exactly trying very hard to patch up their strained relationship.

Mari (Sujin's niece) stays over at the family house, and she becomes a real brat - though Jinpung is just as guilty as she is, since he was the one egging her on. This embarrasses Sujin, but it's cute to see the kids getting along so well with Jinpung.
Mom asks Sujin if she finds her "difficult." Sujin doesn't answer - but it's pretty obvious that she does find her new MIL intimidating. But it's good to see that MIL is sincerely trying to understand Sujin.

Chaos breaks loose at the hospital, where a frantic mother is insisting that Boksil perform emergency surgery on her son. He suffered a critical head injury, and since Boksil had performed surgery on him before, they were demanding her services again.
Of course, Boksil no longer works there.
Doctor Dad takes up the matter himself. Although the child is critically injured, he worries that the surgery might be too dangerous to do. And, when Boksil gets a call from the hospital, she doesn't want her father to take responsibility for something so risky. So, she rushes to the hospital, with Daepung right behind her.
She joins her father in the operating room, and as they operate, they have a heart-to-heart talk. Though she hated her father, she admits to him that she missed him. And, when the surgery is done, she come out of the operating room, rushes over to Daepung, and begins sobbing. Meanwhile, Doctor Dad stumbles out from the operating room (it was clearly a difficult surgery) not looking too well.
Daepung and Boksil are about to leave the hospital, when a nurse rushes out and tells them that her Doctor Dad has just collapsed.

Mipung gets a phone message from Suhui. She tells him that she's become a burden to his family, and that Soldier Dad (Hana's father) misunderstood their relationship. She tells him that she's leaving, but that she's so grateful for everything he did for her.
Mipung rushes out to look for Suhui, but he doesn't find her (so yes, it does seem that Suhui was leaving for good).

Doctor Dad is a now a patient. He and Boksil have become closer since the father-daughter talk in the operating room, and he tells Boksil that every time he looks at her, he can see Boksil's mother in her.
Later, they schedule surgery for Doctor Dad. Now, Doctor Dad may be sick, but he's still pretty cranky. And (now that he's finally become closer to his daughter) he's furious that Daepung couldn't convince Boksil to remain in Korea.
Meanwhile, Boksil is home alone, drinking. She's leaving for New York the very next day, and she's obviously miserable about it. Daepung arrives at her home, and (somewhat sadly) reminds her that after tonight, they may never see each other again. Boksil thanks him for the support his family gave her after her mother died (when she came running from her uncaring Doctor Dad).
Daepung rushes over to her, embraces her, and kisses her. She resists . . . but only for a moment or two.
