For those interested, there were 2 (fairly brief) scenes that were not in last night's broadcast, but made it in this am's.
I suspected we didn't get to see Sang-min and Min-joo telling Woon-kyu that they would be adopting any day now, and I was right. And as is the usual case, the omission occurred at a commercial break. The scene of Ja-young's 2 co-workers talking was followed by a commercial last night. When the action picked up, it went to the scene w/ Sun-joo and her mother at home. This morning, 2 scenes between the other 2 scenes made it in.
For anyone who missed, here's what happened:
Sang-min and Min-joo were sitting in Woon-kyu's kitchen. They had just broken the news to him because he said, very sternly, "So, you're going ahead with the adoption even after I specifically told you I don't approve?" They indicated this was basically the size of it. There was no yelling, but it was clear Woon-kyu was angry and resented they were going against his wishes. He told them he had nothing left to say to them and they should do as they wished, then. Min-joo, always the tactful one, said ok, we will. This went over like a lead balloon w/ Woon-kyu.
Back at their own house, the two were unpacking some of the baby things they had just purchased. Min-joo warned that if Woon-kyu refuses to acknowledge their adopted daughter as his granddaughter, Min-joo will have nothing more to do w/ him. Sang-min looked vexed and said this would only make matters worse. Min-joo returned to the idea that Woon-kyu must want Sang-min to have a baby w/ another woman. SM denies this and says she's being ridiculous.
But knowing how MJ is when she gets fixated on any one idea, my gut tells me this is going to become her new obsession and will be the source of a lot more trouble.
So it was nice to have these scenes. But, on the flip side, there was a down side. Usually, when they're going to restore missing scenes, they begin the show earlier to fit it all in. But in this case, The show ahead of YH in the morning ran way, way over it's usual time slot and YH started several mins. later than usual. The upshot was, w/ the resotored scenes, it ran past 9:02, which is the time I have the VCR set to cut off. As my system is to record the morning ep. over the previous evening's ep., so that I will have only commercial-free eps that may be complete or more complete on my permanent collection, I now have an ep. that has scenes left out from last night, but w/o the last couple of scenes at the end. ACK!
Sasami, if you're reading...I am recording the show for you, as per your request. But ep. 99 on the copy I will make for you will be short a couple of scenes at the end. Sorry. The only thing that's really important is the very last scene, which shows Sang-min and Min-joo arriving home w/ the new baby.
Still...things like this bug me something wicked!!
