Ace Attorney (2012) A live action adaptation of the courtroom videogame series by Takashi Miike. Video game movies are usually low quality, but this is easily the best one ever made. I don't mean by just least bad. I mean that it's actually good. It also has one of the greatest moments in movie history ever

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (2012)
Just to troll everyone, I wish they would have added "based on a true story" to the credits lol.
Taken 2 (2012)
This movie could (and should) have been so much better. We want to see Liam Neeson beat up bad guys. Too much time spent on the daughter.

The Avengers (2012)
I liked how Tony teased Steve about being an old man. Hulk smash!
The Five-Year Engagement (2012)
Hilarious comedy. Shows the ups and downs of relationships and how we can sometimes lose track of what's really important. Mindy Kaling and Kevin Hart are good in supporting roles.
Still need to see Brave, A Company Man and House at the End of the Street.

Prometheus
Prequel to Alien. Good for popping corn, some moments of horror, eye candy and some brief forays into AIs. Other than that, story is BS. I do not hold out much hope for the next ST movie since it's the same guy writing it.
And hello everyone, been absent. ;D

I found a Korean movie from the 60s on youtube. Its titled Yeonsan-gun, the infamous tyrant of the Joseon Dynasty. If you're interested, here..... www.youtube.com/movie?v=pfRpkNx2Qoc&feature=mv_srIn fact, you can find alot of old Korean movies on that channel Honestly, I'm not too sure what to think of this one. Yearning towards "Not really likin it". Something about feels really incomplete. And lets not get started with the costumes. You thought the fusion historicals today were silly? Have a look here at the king. ANd this director Shin Sang-ok, the filmmaker who was kidnapped by North Korea to make movies for them, does this guy really desrve the praise he gets from Koreans? Pulgasari wasn't exactly a masterpiece though then again in this case it was maybe intended to be a monster B-movie. I'm probably thinking from a different mindset considering my way of thinking was different from the 60s, but it could also mean the film hasn't aged well.

Cloud Atlas looks good; it's opening Oct. 26. It's listed in IMDB as "drama, mystery, scifi." "An exploration of how the actions of individual lives impact one another in the past, present and future, as one soul is shaped from a killer into a hero, and an act of kindness ripples across centuries to inspire a revolution." www.imdb.com/title/tt1371111/I read that it's 6 stories, in different times periods, but the characters in each are played by the same actors. The reviewer said that it's good that the film makers nested the stories so the action moves back and forth among them, because it would be hard to remember who the characters were if the stories were done one by one in sequence. Bae Doona is in it. Also Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Susan Sarandon, Hugh Grant and some other familiar names. Here's the trailer: www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi2146673945/
