Actually there were only a few missing scenes in Tuesday night's broadcast and they were mostly dispensible. They are early in the show - actually there is a pattern developing, where the missing scenes tend to be early in the episode, right after the scenes that wind up the crisis from the previous episode. They come after the scene where Han-Soon comes over to bicker with Grandma Wey about the dowry, ring, etc., and mostly they explain how Young-Joon ended up over at his Grandma's house getting yelled at again.
(a) Grandma Sohn's house: a doctor is there giving her an injection. The doctor tells her to preserve her strength and then leaves, shown out by Hyun-Ji. Grandma then has a fit, bringing Hyun-Ji back into the room, accusing "that brat" of making her sick. She accuses him of giving her a case of hwaspyun, which my dictionary defines as "a nervous disorder caused by pent-up frustration". Pent-up - HOW? I never got the impression that Grandma Sohn was exactly keeping all her emotions bottled up inside her!!! Anyway, HJ tries to calm her down...
(b) Cafe. Young-Joon comes to meet with Hyun-Ji... yet again... (sigh). Hyun-Ji explains to him that his grandma has collapsed. "It's not like a stroke, but her strength is completely gone." She then points out (of course) that her chances of improving would be much better if it weren't for YJ/JY. They argue for a bit, then HJ leaves, telling him to see for himself. He calls the house and the housekeeper confirms that his grandmother is ill. He says he'll be over.
(c) But first there is a scene in Ja-Young's office. Her co-workers are mostly talking among themselves about design stuff. Then Kyung-Jin asks Joo-Yun if there is any gossip (I think), and Joo-Yun responds by telling about a "Father Gibbs" (Appa Kipeusseu) who sustained a fracture. "Where?" asks Ja-Young, "a little aghast". (This is her only word in the scene.) Joo-Yun explains that he was in an "ornaments market" (jangsikjang) when someone threw a piece of pottery out of a building and it broke his arm. Kyung-Jin, horrified, says that it could have just as easily hit him in the head and killed him or given him a concussion. Joo-Yun wonders whether the assailant was looking where he was throwing or not. End of scene. If there is a point to this scene, it escapes me, unless "Father Gibbs" is going to appear in a later episode with a cast on his arm. Or maybe YJ will get hit in the head by a thrown bowl and lose his memory and turn up with amnesia in a ski resort in another drama ;D
(d) YJ shows up at his Grandma's house and is let in.
All for today,
