Very much enjoyed reading this Board. Here in New Jersey (NYC metro), Likable finished up a few weeks back.
I and my wife are in our late 50's and I suspect that puts us in the upper age bracket for most posters here. Yet, as with you, we both very much enjoyed watching this show from beginning to end. I am sure you will feel a bit saddened when Episode 172 (Last Episode) flashes on the bottom of your TV screen.
So, what makes this drama so good - why so popular? I don't want to try and monopolize so will state just two reasons of I am sure many and see who else would like to offer a thought or two.
First, do most agree that Danpung is really the strongest character on the show? She really comes into her own after the "bus incident." She really is fun to watch as she "stands by her man" and for all the right reasons.
Second, the interplay between all the generations was always interesting. All the characters had their moments, not just the younger leads. To me and my wife, that really added also to this drama.
Show that replaced Likable here is You Are My Destiny, a good show in its own right (if have there, bear through the first two weeks - it gets better) but must admit, between Destiny, High As The Sky, Wide As The Earth (first we watched) and Likable or Not, Likable is our favorite by far.

We have a few more episodes to go but by far it's better than "High As The Sky." In the beginning it didn't seem much different from so many other dramas, but then it really took off and has been very "likable." It has been one of the best I've seen also.

Hi, mikeandyong! I'll be sorry to see this one end. If you have a chance to see Bizarre Bunch, it's very good, too. There always has to be some character that's so selfish and/or mean and/or snobbish, that I want to reach into the tv and smack her. (Why is it usually a woman, I wonder? Once there was an uncle, but usually it's a woman.)

Sooner or later we begin to understand that love is more than verses on valentines and romance in the movies. We begin to know that love is here and now, real and true, the most important thing in our lives. For love is the creator of our favorite memories and the foundation of our fondest dreams. Love is a promise that is always kept, a fortune that can never be spent............
Well for me it's just that LON grabbed me from the start. It's not my first drama but it certainly is the only one I've seen from beginning to end. I fell in love with most characters Ujin being first, Baekho being the one closer to my heart and DP the one I admired most. I did hate evil MIL until the end despite her "good attitude" (faake), had a change of heart with fish lips and at the very end cried a little for Sonjerk and wanted to get one chance, O just one chance to smack Jongsun good. Man that woman got on lastest nerves. I hated the LIKABLEs at some point and liked some of the NOT so likable ones at the end. Overall LON kept me going because every single episode was interesting and had me begging for more especially with the way the writers dragged the show to get the most out of it( I don't blame them). I'm sad that it ended but You're my destiny is starting to grab me so ....let's see what happens
I enjoyed this drama for a number of reasons. The great cast(their acting was very believeable), the storyline, and the soundtrack. I enjoyed almost every episode! (I missed a few) It had a great "happy" ending!
This was one of the best daily dramas since the Bizarre Bunch!
