I was wondering how YH was going to present JY and YJ honeymoon. Surely they wouldn't be that cruel as to not at least give us a hint of what would go on. I loved the scene where they are driving to their honeymoon destination and YJ tells her he really wants to kiss her but he can't because he's driving (which reminded me about a time I was by a friends house and we saw a couple who was in a full-blown makeout session, and the guy was still driving down the street ) So she obligingly (although sheepishly) turns to give him a quick peck on the cheeck but he turns around so she ends up kissing him on the lips. I wonder if this was improvised, she seemed so embarrassed. Also, when YJ and JY were listening to the pianist, it seemed like YJ was trying to her liquored up for the night! Ha! Ha! The morning after--I think this is the first drama I've ever seen where they are not in full pajama wardrobe (robe included!) even after it has been hinted by the writers that the couple has been intimate. At first, I thought that JY was also shirtless , but no, then I saw her nightgown and bra(?) strap. Okay, this post is long enough. Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.

Call me a shameless girly girl, but I just loved and thoroughly enjoyed all the wedding and honeymoon scenes...I just lapped it al up like a purring kitten w/ a dish of cream. An especially effective touch, I thought, was the juxtaposition of the joyful scenes of the newlyweds and their loving family so happy for them, next to the many scenes of a miserable Sang-min whose life is in shambles through his own misjudgments and selfishness, in addition to a miserable ex wife and an even more miserable little girl, whose whole sense of security has been turned up side down, very brutally. Those weren't fun scenes to watch, but I do think they hit home especially hard next to the many scenes of love and joy for the newlyweds. About that adorable sneaked in kiss in the car, I would like to voice my thought that it was very much part of the script and not improv'd by the actor and actress. I think it's a testimony to the exceptional skills of these 2 that they make something scripted look so natural and spontaneous that the viewer wonders if they improv'd it. Kudos to them! My only complaint about the honeymoon sequences is that I wish the lyrics to the song Young-joon serenaded Ja-young w/ had been subtitled. The actor has a beautiful voice and it was enjoyable just listening to him w/o knowing what the words were...and I'm sure it was something very romantic. Still, I would love to have known what the words meant. It's like how much better the opera is when they give you the supertitles. Otherwise, it was all sublime...very sweet and tender and romantic...and such a pay-off to the fans for waiting so long to see these 2 together at long last. From what I understand, the scene of them in bed together the morning after their wedding night w/ as "much" skin as we saw is extremely explicit and very daring and quite unusual for a Korean drama. I haven't seen others, so I have nothing to compare, but this is what I've read. It was a beautiful scene -- they just looked so incredibly happy and content. As for the little strap we saw over JY's shoulder, it looked to me like the spaghetti strap of a teddy or negligee she slept it---but I'm assuming she wasn't wearing it the entire night! One thing that did surprise me is, after waiting so very long as these 2 have to be together in a complete sense, they would delay their passion for so long, taking time to phone everyone at home and go down to the lobby later for drinks. I would've expected they would rip off their clothes and hit the sheets the minute they got the door to their hotel room slammed behind them! And not come out until it was time to get back. Speaking of which, I can't believe they're only taking 3 days for the honeymoon...wouldn't you think they'd want 2 or 3 weeks? LOL...I guess they were thinking about JM. What incredible self-restraint they have! Jade

Jade I have nothing really to add to this except it made me laugh and blush. I wonder how they are going to explain to Ji-min that he won't be able to sleep with them for at least a very long while.

I agree that it was good to juxtapose the happiness of JY and YJ with the misery of SM. A similar thing happend a few days ago: SM and MJ have an awkward dinner with Yuna, followed by an unpleasant scene outside the restaurant. The next day, JY and YJ have a very pleasant lunch with Ji-min at the same restaurant. How long win Ji-min not be able to sleep with his parents? YJ's grandma says she wants a "honeymoon baby". I hope JY doesn't take four years like Mi-rung. Does anyone know whereabouts Gyeong-ju is? It looks to be on a lake or bay, not the sea-side. The maps of Korea I have don't have indexes, so to find any location, I have to keep looking and looking until I find it And the mot detailed map I have is all in Hangul, which makes it even slower. I think it might be also Romanized as Kyong-Ju, which is about 40 miles east of Taegu, and about the same north of Pusan, in the South-east part of the country. It is an ancient capital, with tombs and museums, and a national park nearby.

Yes, it was a wonderful, wonderful episode. I have to agree that these are excellent actors who make everything look spontaneous. But, I've been watching these soaps for awhile and it seems to me MOST of the acting is superb. Even the children.
Happy, happy married couple contrasted with miserable, miserable divorcing family. Brilliant. Just, brilliant.

Sarubul ... here's an interesting link with info about Kyong-Ju, on the Unesco webpages Betz in Philly
