This series is a "prequel" to GKS...the 4th drama i've seen. From about 1999 or so... i was wondering, if anyone (i.e. CHoko ; ) knew how that drama compares (storywise/characterwise) to our current show. And would people be interested in seeing it after GKS and/or during (maybe a once-a-week deal?). The actors from Tears of the Dragon are probably too old to reprise their roles, but it might have been a nice tie-in -- if the stories are at all related. Sorry if this message seems random...i'm getting ready very early for my new job, and i am strolling down memory lane!

I saw Tears of the Dragon. It's still my all time favorite historical drama. This series is a "prequel" to GKS...the 4th drama i've seen. From about 1999 or so... Yeah, I guess you could call it a prequel. The actors from Tears of the Dragon are probably too old to reprise their roles, but it might have been a nice tie-in -- if the stories are at all related. Actually, Choi Myung Gil (King Taejong's wife, the Queen) is playing the same role in GKS that she played in Tears of the Dragon. Im Hyuk, who played Dae Jung Sang in DJY, was prime minister Ha Ryun in Tears of the Dragon. He's not in this drama but he easily could be. Kim Young Chul is a good actor but I would have liked to have seen Yoo Dong Geun once again as King Taejong.

Sorry if this message seems random...i'm getting ready very early for my new job, and i am strolling down memory lane! I have received this survey from KBS America recently. I do not know where I am supposed to post it, but JP Paulus or the Administrator of this site could decide it. I think this is the time for us to let them know we would like to see more historical dramas on KBS. They rerun many contemporary dramas but none of the older historical dramas (like Emperor Wang Guhn or Tears of the Dragon etc.) Dear KBS Drama Fans, KBS America appreciates for the love you have shown to KBS programs. Fans like you are the reason KBS America exists. We feel obliged to produce and provide better programs. We have a plan to produce new DVD box sets this year, so we are doing a survey about our programs for future releases. Please answer questions below. l What is your favorite KBS program in 2007? l What KBS program(s) do you want to see again (on TV or DVD)? l What KBS program(s) do you want to have on DVD box set(s)? l Do you prefer subtitling or dubbing? l Any actor, actress or singer you want to see? Thank you for participating in the survey. Your answer is very precious to us. It will give us more understandings about KBS viewers, and will help us to make better programs. Please, e-mail it to "kjlee@kbs-america.com"
