Would someone please be kind enough to post a synopsis of this episode? I decided to give this show a little more time before I choose whether to watch. However, I ended up missing episode #2 because of things that were happening at home. Thank you, in advance.

Things in the first 2 episodes moved really fast. I can't exactly remember everything but the short version is that InJung is pregnant and wants to forget the jerk and raise her baby. She can no longer play her instrument because of that slash to her wrist. Witchy wife somehow finds out about the pregnancy and storms over to IJ's place, belittling both her and her mom (who never once just tells the bit__ to get out of her house). After causing a scene she leaves, then realizes she left her purse inside and goes back. IJ has collapsed and ends up losing the baby. IJ calls her parents to say she wants to come home and on the way to the hospital they are in a serious car accident. They're both unconscious; mom will be getting an operation but dad can't until the hospital bills are paid. IJ is walking around like a zombie and sees a truck speeding down the road. She walks in front of it and they show the driver's shocked face (he is wearing sunglasses at night btw), then the whole screen goes blinding white.
Now it is 5 years later. UJ is working at a chicken place in a seaside town. She seems happy and very well liked. The truck driver with the shades apparently took her home with him or something. He paid for her dad's operation although her mom passed away. IJ is working on buying a farm so she can take her dad there and out of the (rehab?) place he's currently at.
Jerk and his wife are riding in a car. Next to them is the oldest looking 5 yr child I've ever seen lol. The child, a girl, speaks flawlessly too and sounds very smart and observant. They're going to check out the future site of some construction and guess where it is? IJ's new hometown of course. Ij and jerk don't meet face to face though the happy family does walk right by IH's chicken shop.
The son that went to America comes back, heartbroken because his girlfriend took her own life and he discovered the body. He's back in Korea to spread her ashes, at her mother's request. He's pretty broken up and somehow ends up in IJ's new town too. In fact, he and sunglasses are old friends and in that way he meets IJ again. They don't seem to recognize each other however.
I think that's the main stuff. I know I've left out some details and I apologize but hopefully this will at least give you an idea of what happened. In the previews, it looked like IJ and the heartbroken son will start becoming friends and I'm guessing, more than friends ^^.

Oh, thank you very much, Happy Camper! I saw a couple of minutes of the second half of episode 2, and was completely baffled. I saw the precocious (and very cheeky) little girl, and I saw IJ but didn't recognize her. I *might* watch #3, but am unsure. Again, thank you!

Thanks, Happy Camper, I really wanted to respond but I didn't have the time or energy to write out the long summary I wanted to do and you summed it all up beautifully. Thanks for saving me the time.
One thing I'd like to add is that IJ had bought a farm on an island to bring Dad to live out his remaining days in bliss. Turns out that the son that came back from the States bought the same property from the swindler that took off with IJ's investment (seems he sold the land twice and ran.). Anyway, IJ is demanding her money back from the son, and yet they still don't recognize each other from the tin can incident at the 50th wedding anniversary party in the first episode.

Okay, folks, I'll give it another try, but I'm skeptical. It's too soap-operatic for me so far.

I love how fast this show is moving. It's very interesting and funny.
It is kind of unclear why the man got to have the school that she also bought. Obviously, she was in the town long before he got there.

Apparently he has been a frequent visitor to the island for a long time. It seems the man in glasses acts as a sort of pseudo-father figure.
