I love mijin mom. she make me LOL when she is chasing her kids and trying to hit them. it was funny when her husband forced her to kiss him while trying to keep her away from mijin.
i wonder what is going to happen with the photo guy and the girl with the short bob, i can't remember her name right now. she is married to jaemong (ms). ?

I thought it was so funny when boksu's dad said something to his wife in bed and she answers like stop being digusting and then she flips over and he puts his hand on her shoulder and she yells at him to stop being digusting.. that is the only lovey dovey emotion that i have seen from those two so far..

I think they're all nuts, but i really like the daughter-writer. Her expressions, etc. are funny. I also like Boksu's mother. I've always liked her. Such a good actress!

It is cute the way boknam and inu are always together and warming up to each other. it will be hard for boknam to be with a guy because she seems like she gave up on them a time ago. i am sure with a makeover she'll get her cofidence back.. she also wants to lose weight. she is thin . where will she loose this extra weight? her glasses? it is funny that all the girls on the dramas are all thin. the only people with some meat on their bones are the moms and grandmas.. they are all really thin. i guess i would not fit in a drama. (not just because i am italian, but i am a size 8 top and size 10 bottom). every one seems to be a size 0 to 4/6. i love the style of the women. i love all the mix and match and all the fabrics., but sometimes the guys wear some stuff that i would not really like.

I am with you on that Pippi. The men wear such shiny suits sometimes or with strange decoration on the lapels. They should stick to simple clothes. The women wear some very interesting stuff though.
I like Mijin and her mom. It was so funny when Mijin was complimenting Aunt and it was going really well until she told her she was cute. So funny! And the uncle just laughing and laughing.

LOL, I like that part too. it is nice that the uncle is rich but not stuck up, like his wife.

Maybe Mijin will help Aunt loosen up, she is supposed to go there often for daughter-in-law lessons. About the cups that Mijin broke and wants to replace- don't they have ebay in Korea? Just wondering.
The uncle has such a great deep voice. I thought it was so strange sounding in Scandal in Old Seoul, but I like it now.

This seems to be an unpopular opinion, but I simply cannot stand Mijin. I've only watched this sporadically so perhaps I'm way off kilter, but there's a "type" in the dramas -- an inept, awkward young woman, often spoiled by wealthy parents, who takes on the responsibilities and duties of being a Korean wife without having a single skill under her belt, except knowing how to simper and pout like a 6-year-old little girl. Tries to compensate by being nauseatingly and childishly cute. Everything she tries to do creates a mess; she's constantly telling somebody, "I'm sorry," and the few adults who don't find her totally exasperating are usually telling others, "Try to understand her." The actress on this show wears a perpetual pout, and every time I see her I just want to smack her. Another type that pops up in a lot of dramas, and that I think is also in this one, is the character of the aging spinster sister who always looks like she needs a good scrub-up and makeover, who's jittery and nervous and thin-skinned, who's writing a screenplay or more usually a drama. (They also have one of these on this show, right, or is it another one? You know, messy hair, huge eyeglasses, dresses frumpy for a youngish woman, etc.) I don't know if such people exist in real life in South Korea, just as I've never met anyone who behaved like an American soap opera character, but they seem to populate a whole lot of the dramas. The writer-sister character type doesn't really bother me, but the new wife character type with the perpetual childish pout drives.me.up.a.wall. Obviously. There are so many predictable stereotypes on k-dramas that I've seen that I wish we could see some of the dramas produced by other than KBS. They seem to have a stable of actors/actresses that they keep recycling, just as they seem to recycle the "types" of characters in the programs.

I don't disagree with you about Mijin's character Lila. In real life I wouldn't like her very much at all, too loud and obnoxious. But I enjoy watching how the characters interact and react to her. I think the new husband (forgot name) is more annoying since he hardly does anything!

I can't stand Mijin either. She is soooo annoying and her "Cutesy" high-pitched voice irritates me to end. I feel sorry for Boksu (Kim Ji Hoon)...from Flowers to this mess.

mijin's aunt.. what is her name .. the doc's mom.. well can't remember her name but cannot forget her attitude..What is her problem!!!! if you answer her, she yells at you for talking back, if you don't answer you get yelled at for not responding.!! I would not be able to take just 5 minutes of that... she is NEVER happy.. if i were suyoung, i would leave that doc hubby of hers too. just like the other wife did.. She is always MAD... i have never seen any other character in a drama be so upset all the time. she has NEVER smiled.. always takes everything the wrong way... She really is the DEVIL..

Mijin is a little loud and the "Docs mom" (I don't know her name either does not have a personality. But I think all the characters are amusing. I enjoy seeing their different personalities every weekend.
