Baehko is such a a cute piece of sugar.. how sweet.. he took jyeong on a date. she had fun and smiled for once. what a great cousin!!! Baehko is turning out to be a great ,sweet sensitive ,lovable guy! how cute.. he better break up with that girl, because we know he does not love her, just dating her to make danpung jealous and now the grandma is talking about meeting her... hope he cut's it off quick before things get serious.. unless he falls in love with her but i know his heart is somewhere else and it is not fair for sunyeong to be strung along any further. she is sweet and cute and does not deserve such treatment. I thought that was so sweet and thoughtful of Baekho to take Jiyeong out on a date to cheer her up too. I like his character. He's sensitive to other people's feelings, he's funny and he's becoming more mature. I agree he shouldn't keep stringing his "girlfriend" along when he's truly in love with Danpung and she looks like she is starting to show interest in him too. I just saw that in last night's ep. along with the cat fight. Miae definitely was the winner!

I don't think he's really doing wrong by the "girlfriend," though. She's made it clear that she likes him but that she's just as interested in his position as the son of Bonjour Foods as she is in him. Nothin' wrong with that, since she's being honest. She may be building up certain expectations, as witnessed by that ooh-la-la, oh-so-expensive plaid muffler (wow), but I don't think any real harm is being done to her. It's not like Seonjae and Jiyeong.

if u kno good show wit character of Beakho and Dunpang in it? Do you mean, are there any other drama shows out there that feature these actors? I don’t think they’ve ever appeared together in any show but this one. This is the first time I’ve caught Baekho (actor Kim Ji-suk,) but he also did appear in the KBS show “Man in the Vineyard.” I missed that one, but I think some of the Chicago fans did get to see it. Danpung (actress Han Ji-hye) has been in a number of K-dramas. One of them, “Sweet 18,” (also known as “Little Bride”, and “Sweet 18 Bride”) ranks among my favorites. It’s a must-see! For some clips from a few of HJH’s past drama shows, check out the thread from Knov1 here: deiner.proboards48.com/index.cgi?board=likable&action=display&thread=6797

I thought maybe she grew to like him but I guess she could like him because of his position and that's really why she came to his office.

Yes, I agree she was impressed with the idea of Baekho's being the son of the president of a big company, but isn't it taking her a long time to see that Baekho isn't rich? He doesn't have much spending money or a car. I wonder if she will show herself to be more materialistic soon. She gave him an expensive gift, but he can't spend a lot on her. Maybe she's impressed with his sweet nature. I kind of doubt it, though. Flight attendants aren't rich. I wonder if she gave him an expensive present to shake something loose on his part? Bad Ginnycat. ;D

Ginny, this brings up the fact that, though I taped last night's episode (#55, I think), I couldn't read the subtitles. I got that they went out for soup, and that he had to leave because Jiyeong disappeared, but did she say something to give him the impression that soup is too cheap a meal for a date? Seemed like maybe she did, but maybe she was just saying that she didn't like the food.

Yeah Lucy, she was certainly NOT impressed with the restaurant or the food. Seemed like she thought Baekho should be eating at a much fancier place. I don't know if she liked the food or not - I didn't see her eat anything ;D Maybe she's on a model's diet - just water - no food -- She seemed surprised and confused that he would eat at a place "like that" -- do I hear GOLDDIGGER?

If Baekho hadn't had to rush out, he might have talked her into eating some. She said she'd never had it before, whatever it was. Didn't Baekho say that she should have said something before they ordered?
It was cute the way he remembered Danpung eating with her fingers. Was it a rib?

First time doing a post - so if not doing right - sue me! Sua me! Anyway - I am a closet K-drama watcher for the last 8 shows and I loved Yellow Hankerchief the best. Anyway - is anyone annoyed about how they always have the girl's hair pulled back into a severe bun and then 1/2 through the drama - they bring it down to make t hem look prettier. I would like to see Danpunp's down. I don't think she is that pretty -- but Yugeong looks much better with her hair down now. Sua - always had her hair down and now it is bunned when Yugeong's is down. Weird but I am sure they are doing it on purpose.

I've been here for ages and YH is before my time. Glad you jumped in. I never noticed the hair strategy. It would be interesting to chart it, with pictures....Is anyone taking a Psychology of Korean Dramas course? Could be a term paper...I should be cleaning house, so I'm not gonna do it. (Kick me if you see me starting.) I keep thinking of ScreechMom's favored DIL-she changed her style, but I'm not sure when. I can't remember the show's name now. She finally married KiYoon(?) after InYoung couldn't have a baby.

Ginny, I'm surprised you haven't seen YH - I saw it and was enthralled with it and it wasn't even the first K-drama I saw. I don't remember Lee Tae ran, the female lead in YH, changing her hair do in a different style, except I think she had a shorter cut. The K-drama with Schreech Mom was My Sweetheart/My Darling - as a good LCH fan, you don't remember that one? LOL - Okay - I know sometimes they all run together since we watch them back to back and also are probably watching an historical and other modern K-dramas all at the same time. Sometimes I think we need a scorecard to keep track of all the players LOL! ;D

Hello, aapter!
I watch two a week but one is contemporary and the other historical so I don't get confused. But I do mix up all the modern ones some times. It amazes me that altho the stories are sooo similar (rich family/poor family; good girl/semi-bad girl; evil MIL/suffering DIL, etc.) they are handled cleverly enough to keep me watching. And the acting (with a few exceptions) is uniformly good.
My family and some friends think I've gone off the deep end with these K-dramas. Thank god for you guys on the fan board!
