I don't know, even for Li Wen it seemed ridiculous that he would be as clueless and unprepared as he was. What did the guy think was going to happen?
Other than that 91 was enjoyable, I thought. Especially now that the Turks are in the mix and you've got four sides angling for different things. Lots of fun watching everyone try to get the upper hand on each other. That scene with Inel and the Emperor was great, with him raising the stakes in her face and her staring him right back down.
And the vertical step-kick to knock the sword out of Li Wen's hand was another beautiful stunt.

I am thinking that this battle is over a period of time.....a lot of time editing without really explaining how much elapsed........will the turks draw the Tang army away from the mix....or at least a part of it?........stay tuned..........

I absolutely loved that scene with the Emperor and Inel. What moxie he had in upping the ante every time the Emperor turned down the Turks! The actress who plays the Emperor is a real master at conveying silent seething, IMO. All she needed was steam drifting out of her ears.
Did I find the Li Wen scene believable? In a word, no. In fact, I thought I missed something for a minute just because Li Wen asked who it was.
It was entertaining to see Hong Pei come into his own in #91, ordering the soldiers around and looking satisfied with himself. I like that actor's portrayal of the character; he's excellent.
Can't wait to see what happens next.
