i'm not talking so much about YGSM's sons, but rather Shin Hong, and Shin Sung (sp)!
When i saw them on screen together, i thought they looked a lot alike.
It makes sense that they're brothers! And interesting rivalry we have here.
i am assuming they are also fictional, to help flesh out the actual factions in Korean Leadership.
Can't wait to see how it turns out!

Their rivalry parallels Namgeon's and Namseng's. Both pairs of brothers want to outdo the other, though I'm actually rooting for Namseng. Namgeon's been misled more than his brother has. He even listened to the civil officials over his own brother. But, I don't fully understand why Shin Hong and his brother are even having this competition to begin with.

They both want to be Supreme Commander… at each other's expense if necessary. I didn't think that should even be a possibility, but that's what they were talking about in their secret meeting.
I agree about the casting. I thought they resembeled each other before I saw their names were the same.

Do you think they were both servants of the family that Tang overran? Now they look like court members, but the sneaky one we've been watching wore plain cotton clothes and headwrap when he was first shown.

Shin Hong's fictional, Shin Sung is not. Shin Sung is actually a real person that betrayed his country during the last Tang invasion, which leads to the downfall of Guguryeo.
