There's no mention of a Geom as Dae Joyoung's eldest son. I think only that younger kid who fled to his father will become King Mu of Balhae. Don't know if Geom was a real person and became a Khan of the Khitans. Li Jinzhong, Li Kaigu, Sun Wanrong, Muchuo Khan (of the Gokturk Army) are historical people though. The real Gilsabiwu was a Mohe tribal warrior leader allied with Dae Joyoung like the Mohe tribal leaders that confronted Dae Joyoung's Generals at their fort. Gilsabiwu along with Dae Jungsang are supposed to die in battle with the Tang. So, probably in the series, Gilsabiwu will die in battle keeping his secret with him to the grave and Chulin will probably never tell in order to keep her family intact since Geom sees Li Kaigu as his true father.

So when they were preparing to ignite the wood to burn LiWen and his pals, they were pouring something on the wood. What would that have been? Certainly not gasoline or lighter fluid

I wondered too. They didn't show it long enough. My mental picture of the scene has a red metal gas can. Can't be! Was it red? Maybe it was cooking oil? Something from a pine tree, but it wouldn't pour like that. ??

This is another annoying part, or maybe because Geom is a fictional character. The young good looking Geom does'nt even look, act or talk like Li Kaigu. Just by hearing him talk and his actions, even you're so ignorant, the resemblane is Dae Jo Young. In the part of Dae Jo Young, won't you be curious to ask Chulin, you know what happenned between the two of you. Again, writer's shortage.

There was a scene where Geom was talking to Li Kaigu, Geom looked at him displeable, but everytime he talks to DJY, always with loving and admiration. I like that. Geom is like father loke son,DJY son. Geom is so handsome too, mixture of Chulin and Dae Jo Young, is'nt it? We know this was only at the series, but it is a perfect combination look for this Geom character.

I keep waiting for the truth to come out, but it may not happen. Chulin scolding Geom for disagreeing with Kaigu - was she just doing that for the sake of discipline or did she mean it, I wonder. She has wanted justice before, hasn't she, not just her side winning?

Recent episodes are getting around 30 - 35 % rating, which is pretty good but not like the mega hits of the old like Hur Joon, which was like 65% at it's peak. Still good for now days, nevertheless. I think it's the highest rated show in Korea right now.
