In my book he,s just great. The more I see of him, the more I like him.{ l[ke the teasing and certainly Gukhua seems to understand its a form of affection. He also has the best lines in my opinion.

I thought it was funny when he called GW and said "This is $30,000" LOL! Me, too. He's been amazingly forgiving and steadfast. I'm surprised, actually. He's been pretty quick to take offense in the past.

I think Gukhua understands very well that the term "farm girl " is said affectionately. Notice he calls her Kang Gukhua when he's serious or upset. I also think he as the best lines in the drama.

I was thinking liver or kidney, because of something I thought he said once early in the series. It was when we were first noticing all the similarities between this one and "Bizarre Bunch," and we were like, "And this guy has a bum kidney, too??"

He was seen at the beginning of Mr. Goodbye when Yujin was running the marathon. Then he was waiting for her at the airport when she returned from Vegas. and she latched on to Hunseok, pretending that he was her new boyfriend. Finally, he and the new girlfriend met Y & H in the hotel. Y told everyone that she liked H and they could form a love triangle? (4 of them- rectangle???)

kilgnyc,
His cell phone's ring tone. He always answers his call fast, so you're lucky to hear the whole thing even once.

For a while there, I was liking Yunhu (see above) and defended his teasing Gukhwa as “farm girl.” I thought it was cute that he made fun of her, because he was showing his affection. Teasing is often a way of showing intimacy, though I don’t like it myself. But he’s being an ass now. It’s not funny or cute to belittle a woman as “stupid” constantly and to tell her “just do what I say/just trust me.” He’s treating her like the proverbial “little woman.” “Oh, you’re just a silly child, with your whispery voice and funny facial expressions. You can’t take care of yourself. Let Big Man Yunhu enroll you in school and tell you what to do.” He also manages to humiliate her in little ways, like at the office. And whenever she sort of goes out on a limb and lets it be known that she’s expecting something from him, like attention or affection or a gift (because he’s led her to believe it, like when he waited for her after class), he makes sure to point it out and make her feel silly. And he takes those opportunities to remind her, “Wow, you must really like me. You must really want to marry me.” As if he weren’t the one who chased her for months and landed in the hospital from stress. I think he’s trying to make her smaller because he feels diminished by needing her so much. He’s acting like a jerk, and she lets him—and the worst part is, I don’t think we’re meant to see anything disturbing in this! It’s just supposed to be cute and affectionate.
Seeing this in combination with Yunjeong’s ongoing and apparently increasing idiocy, I’m beginning to think that the writer of “Pure 19” doesn’t respect women very much.
